Jones back on form and fit is VERY good news for England.
England have so missed him and Freddie. |

Indeed. I have for some time been a supporter of Harmison, confident that he would find his rhythm and form eventually, but he has disappointed.
He seems to think he has a God given right to be selected , and his statement that he will retire if not chosen sounds like he's given up too easily.
There's lots of fast bowlers in contention and competition for places has got to be healthy.
You could choose from Flintoff, Hoggard, Sidebottom, Broad, Anderson , ; and Simon Jones took a Pfeiffer yesterday so he's on the way back. And a couple of 2 metre tall young quicks to watch out for; Steve Finn, Middlesex, and James Harris, Glamorgan.(near Wales) |

| He seems to be a home bowler only. Will be interesting to see if he can make it for the '09 Ashes. |

Well Harmison can't make the squad against NZ.
I am a great Harmison fan but I am afraid I have witness the destruction of a great bowler. That or he had a good spell for two years but is actually very average.
His performance in New Zealand was awful and the first ball of the ashes campaign sums up his career.
Think back to 2005 when he had the aussies in all sorts of trouble and left Ponting with a battle scar.
That bowler is now long gone. Either his bowling coach is cr ap or he has lost it.
Either way I don't think we will be seeing him again.
From what I have witness of late he will throw his toys out of the pram and retire. |
