| correction bigiq, There was no prior agreement bewteen Smith and Kumble that explicitly stated that a wrong umpired decision would not be accepted by either side. |

| it was the umpire who made mistake by giving him out not sehwag or any of the indian ... these things do happen you cant blame the umpire and one wrong decision in a match is not bad as long as it doesnt change the result of the match |

94.3 Sehwag to de Villiers, OUT, caught! de Villiers leans forward to defend and the ball lobs up to Ganguly at short leg for a simple catch, Sehwag is thrilled with the breakthrough but de Villiers looks disappointed, there was no bat there, straight of the pad by the looks of it
Mmmmmm......... good to see the Indians are stilling playing test cricket " within the spirit of the game" |

Tell your story walking pal.
This is an Australian message board. I think we've all had enough of your mob's version of "world history" to last a lifetime. Thank you - don't come again. |

seuppu, you stupid man. what you think of yourself? If you like India so much why don't you go to India? Clarke is a man of total integrity. there was no doubt at all in the catch. Everyone is just jealous of Australia coz they always win. Aussie cricketers are always totally honest and men of integrity. Even when Clarke stood his ground after hitting the ball to first slip, it was just coz he was surprised. And his surprise suddenly disappeared after the umpire put his finger up. Also if you see the crash-tackle of Clarke and Tendulkar in the 2nd final, you will see how truly great Clarke is. He accidentally crashed into Tendulkar and then accidentally grabbed him by his hips and then accidentally pulled Tendulkar down to the ground. And because it was accidental, no apology was needed.
Always remember - Aussies cricketers can never be dishonest. It's a part of ICC rules. |

Differences are
1. Michael Clarke was sure that he caught it.
Video replays cannot determine if it was a catch or not if the decision is line ball. The replays of the Michael Clarke catch do not definitely show the ball bounced
2. A captain's agreement in place between India and Australia meant no 3rd umpire decision - the batsman had to go if the the fieldsman claimed the catch( and Ganguly's dissent to the umpire went unpunished)
3. With all the media cr@p dumped on the Aussies and Michael Clarke as a result of his claimed catch( which again is inconclusive on video replay), no sane person is going to claim a catch as valid unless absolutely certain |

| 4.6 Vaas to Smith, no run, Appeal: Vaas bangs it in short, that rears up on Smith and the ball darts off his glove and travels low to Samaraweera at third slip who dives to his right. The fielder isn't sure so he requests the use of the replay. The umpires confer and decide to consult the third umpire Clyde Duncan. Replays suggested that the ball may have carried. Can't say for sure |
