| G'day Kip ! long time no g'day I don't see it more of a case of the others getting all that much better, but it is true in the post-Warne, post-McGrath era, the Aussies appear beatable and there are weaknesses where before the cracks were watertight. Not having those two bowlers in the side places an unwanted additional burden on the batsmen to score runs quicker than they needed to previously (to give longer for the bowlers to take 20 wickets to win)and take more risks. Kip mate - please don't make me have a go at you for your complete ignorance of Australian first class cricket again, I'm soooooooo over it. Why ask , if you're not prepared to educate yourself on the answers before making rash comments ? Mate, I live in Israel these days and can still follow Aussie first-class cricket - you have an excuse ? An endless supply of quality of young pacemen, batsmen & keepers coming through in Aussie first class cricket. One point I will concede Kip, is an apparent lack of QUALITY, YOUNG spinners coming through in Australia. Which is really quite strange after one SK Warne encouraged every young kid to wrap his hand around around a cricket ball and flick it out of his wrist for 16-17 years. |

| I also seem to recall you saying that to tour Pakistan would be folly - and you are spot-on there. We'll see how the West Indies tour goes. I admit that I can't see a long term solution with respect to spin bowling as yet - but we still have time there as long as we have Macgill. Katich (again enourmous experience) should be welcomed back into the fold. Plenty of Pace bowling options - Geeves is one you need to watch in my opinion. |
