| [Johnathan Thurston is the best of the best] Sure is. He's the best. It's also funny how the bulldogs ditched him in the past. That'll teach em. Also, I think that even if Johnathan Thurston had kept playing for the bulldogs, they would probably have kept in on the bench all the time, doing minor duties. He sure showed em when he came to the cowboys and got given the chance and training to show his potential. Same with matt bowen. As for that time when Johnathan Thurston was sitting on the bench on his debut in the international league match, they gave him the role of street sweeper on the bench.....until carmichael hunt got wiped out, and then Thurston came on and showed everybody what he was really made of. Of course, the rest of the australian team were there to let him demonstrate his skills.....and now he's 2 time dally m medalist in 3 years. Actually, he should really be 3 times dally m medalist in 3 years, since the medal was meant to be his last year as well. |

So yeah if by some fluke they can win the premiership, i would have to say he would be the best on the ground. |

| Exactly right, he is not going to give it back. I have nothing against Thurston, he is a great player. My beef is with the sycophants in the media who fawn all over these players.
