| Overall pick 11 in the 2008 draft, Steele Sidebottom has made an immediate impact at the VFL level averaging 24 disposals and eight tackles a game. Head coach Gavin Brown described the exciting recruit as, "a true class act" after last week's win. Midfielder Ryan Cook, who played nine senior games last season, has been first rate in the VFL. Cook is averaging 30 disposals and seven marks a game and is using the ball with high accuracy. After playing 12 senior games last year, Sharrod Wellingham has put the club’s selectors on notice with his strong performances in the VFL. The Perth-native is averaging 24 disposals a game and has been named as an emergency for the senior side in the last two rounds. |
