Dear 7,
Thank you for programming the 1988 movie BIG tonight rather than the AFL live into NSW. I am confident your decision was based on sound commercial grounds and you will be rewarded with high ratings. This should have a positive effect on your viability in these tough economic times. I also thank you for deciding on my behalf that AFL is not a popular sport in NSW despite the fact that AFL games in NSW always attract higher crowd numbers than the more traditionally NSW sport of Rugby League.
Could you please do me the courtesy of replying to this e-mail with the ratings figures for tonight’s blockbuster movie? It just may prove to me and all the other AFL supporters that we are wrong in suggesting you have no idea how to reward your loyal viewers.

| Channel 7 delay all Friday night games into Brisbane by 4 hours. I watched the Geelong v Collingwood game on Thursday night at 11.35. I dont usually bother watching the impartial games because i have to stay up till almost midnight just to see the opening bounce. It is ridiculous. Why pay hundreds of millions of dollars to play re-runs of ordinary movies instead?? If they care so little, give the games to Channel 10. Atleast they show some respect and play things live, or close enough to it. |

Why the hell is this game on a 60 minute Delay into Melbourne when this TV deal is meant to be the best ever.
Why is the game on a 90 minute delay into Adelaide as well?
Could someone from Channel 7 explain apart from "programming decision" why the hell this is the case. Or maybe The Program Manager will actually show his face or name himself so we can at least have a face to blame.
Forums such as Nicks BB and Big Footy are awash with discussions about the terrible state of the TV coverage this year. |
