robin - sorry your home ground for the power is where?? I have only ever been to AAMI for Power games!
I don't really care if your history is black and white or pink and white!! either way your club joined a comp that had an established club already bearing those colours. I think it is fair enough in heritage round for the prison bars jumper to come out but it will never be a permanent jumper for the power - ever! |

| Mate you want some educated facts ill give you some. The PAFC were granted the second AFL liscence in SA, they were chosen because we are established, traditional and one of if not the greates FC in the land. In 1996 there was a meeting held where all senior members were invited (funny a new club already had members) my father and uncles were all present. At this meeting a vote was called who wanted the PAFC in the AFL, obviously the majority was in favour. The second vote was on the name of the club forcivley to be formed to continue the Port tradition in the SANFL (a prerequisite in order to recieve the liscence) this resulted in the formation of the Port Adelaide Magpies FC (NOT the PAFC) this club was allowed to aknowledge the same heritage as the original PAFC. So the PAFC trancended into the big leauge changing only its nick name, guernsey and adding to teal and silver to our BLACK and WHITE colours not by choice but to avoid clashes with Collingwood. Our home ground and club rooms remained at Alberton oval even out phone and fax numers are the same. I can go on all day with facts about our great club but I think this is enough to briefley EDUCATE YOU on a matter you clearly know very little about. |

When Port entered AFL it was the team of old who entered. Port Adelaide Magpies FC was then created as a new SANFL team. It is aknowledged that both teams share history up until that point.
Why people are so focused on us going black and white in heretige round is beyond me. Worry about your owe teams first. |

| Well this is not just coz i love the crows but seeing that all port supporters will either end up in prison, have been in prison or hope to follow the family tradition of spending time in prison then maybe we should let those feral losers wear the prison bar jumper now and then. |

| Once you join the big league (AFL) you pays your money & yous take your chances. Methinks Port fans are not content with their FOUR colours. BTW do they make handbags in teal? |

| Don't Freo wear a jumper thats red and white and dates back to the WAFL fugg knows how many years ago. I couldn't give a sh1t what any team wears. It is a shame the Eddie Nowhere won't let a team embrace its heritige. Maybe the Power should change there jumper back their original magpies one and have a Teal edging on the collar just to p1ss Ed off. |

In SA/NT black and white is synonomous with Port Adelaide Football Club, yellow ang gold are synonomous with Glenelg, red and white for North Adelaide and so on. Who cares what the vics think?
They were originally approached by the AFL to join because they are the most successful club in Australia.
No one is agruing that they should have kept the black and white going into the AFL - just that Port should be able to wear the old colours in the heretige round.
Why would be Collingwood be so offended by Port wearing its old traditional colours when they aren't even playing against them? |

| why did cadbury trademark the color purple??? black and white in football terms is synonomous with Collingwood, who cares about the roos geelong and carlton...let them wear it on heritage round then leave it alone until next year, lets not forget that it was Port who joined the AFL knowing full well that a slightly estabilished side was already wearing black & white! |

Geez why is Collingwood so ana| about black and white?
Kangaroos, Geelong and Carlton are all blue and white yet you don't hear any of those clubs complaining.
Besides the old prison bars look completely different to the Collingwood gernsey. |

| I can bag Eddie as much as I like he is probably a very nice man and I could invite him to Lodge if he was a member, but as for his stance on Collingwood he needs to be reminded that he is just small fish in a big pond. And I know my history. |

| Kevaquablue, you should learn the facts first. Port Adelaide were given the the licence to enter the AFL as Port Power, they are the same club. The theme for hertiage round is the 1980s, what did Port wear in the 80s? The fact is Collingwood think they are a law unto themselves, the wont even wear an alternative strip and the AFL is too soft to enforce it. They should get over it, they are not that good anyway |

| The AFL is suppose to be an AUSTRALIAN FOOTBALL COMPETITION not just a extention of the vfl so the safl is included in the history.Providing that Port Adelaide is not playing Collingwood what does it matter if the wear the black and white prison bars to you.As far as Eddies concerned he's supposed to be president of the Coll. Football club not the AFL. so he shouldn't be throwing around ultimatums over how many times Port can wear the black and white-it's only once a year!!! |

| Morons ha live SA with all these Port morons and you'll soon see why Port only half fills Footy Park. Face facts Port Adelaide Football Club is not Port Adelaide Power they are two clubs who play in two different leagues why should one be allowed to bring the others history into a league where Port Magpies never played and the biggest point is we were plying in black and white in the VFL when Port was playing in pink and blue in the SANFL. Learn your history before bagging Eddy after all its the AFL/VFL not SANFL |
