Well, it was on the telly today,on the big board at the M.C.G. before the game, But, You heard/read it FIRST Right Here a Few weeks ago! Remember?, I said there was a rumour about Our 2008 Captain being none other than "Straughnnie". And guess what? The C.F.C. has decided to take the idea (just a bit of fun & profit) & run with it!! YOU Heard it FIRST From ME Right here!! (After all, I suggested it to them!!)

Fraser would be the logical choice. Maxwell, no, never, too up himself.

Collingwoods recent team photo shoot may hold the answer! on another forum Joffa indicated about 2 weeks ago that the whispers are getting louder that Fraser with skipper the pies.

The captain and his deputy traditionally sit next to the senior coach in the photo, suggesting Maxwell and Fraser are vying for the prestigious honour at the Magpies.

"It will be interesting to see what happens. It's a tough call," Holland said.

Football operations manager Geoff Walsh confirmed Collingwood's captain would be announced soon.

"It could be as early as next week, but maybe after the last practice match," he said.

Sportsbet has suspended betting on the captaincy after punters laid heavily on Fraser, whose odds shortened from $5 to $1.80 about a fortnight ago.
