| Did the pies want to lose last night? When Rocca plays they keep looking for him and there are so many lost opputunities, it stuck out last night, anzac day proved what they can do with didak and medhurst, they both dont get the stats but do all the hard chasing |

Sir Scott of Burns. The great man DESERVES this honour. He has given his all for the Pies since coming from Norwood. Never flinches, always has his head over the ball. No off field rubbish. Quality footballer, quality person.
Very happy! |

| True. He has put his head, heart and body on the line 11,739 times whilst wearing a black and white jumper. I couldnt be happier. It doesnt matter if its only for one year or 6 months, he deserves the chance. Onya Burnsy |

COLLINGWOOD is likely to name its new captain before Friday night's practice match against Hawthorn in Shepparton. The job of succeeding Magpies great Nathan Buckley appears to be a four-way tussle between veterans Scott Burns and Tarkyn Lockyer, plus Josh Fraser and Nick Maxwell.
Burns has been on the sidelines, but is expected to resume this week. The remaining trio has led the side in one of the three NAB Cup and practice matches.
"I'd think we'd know later on this week," Magpies chief of football operations Geoff Walsh said yesterday. "We'd like to think it would be org *** ed before the next practice match, so the match committee should meet over the next couple of days and come up with a recommendation." |

Yeah & Burnsy has never liked the limelight. In fact I'm pretty sure he said early on in the piece he didn't want it.
I love Maxy, have done since he was on the rookie list. However, if we are to be a great team I can see Ding Dong (Maxy) being a bit player. A player like that can't be your Captain, no matter how much you/we admire him. |

maybe eddies kids are the "true" captains?
I think from all that has been said it was really out of Maxwell, Fraser and Monty, know with only one of them beside mick it is becoming obvious.
Hopefully they just announce it soon and put us out of our misery!! |

Ok so while we're laughing.
Then let me produce the most inscrutable fact of all.
Eddie's kids got there picture taken with Fraz & Pebs either side of Mick.
Surely he would have had it taken with the true Pies Captain.
Now that is logic!!! lol |

I'd rather go on what i've seen.
Once again, I'd rather there was a third photo with Burnsy on the right hand side of Mick! |

| Nope, was Maxwell, were even talking about it on radio this morning. Hasn't everyone got a soft spot for Rocca? I reckon Josh will get the top job and Maxwell will be vice. Burns so deserves it even if just for a year, but good luck to whoever gets it. |

Not Maxwell, It was Rocca & Fraser. Fraser was on the right hand side. You would think it's Fraser, however don't discount Mick has a huge soft spot for Rocca. Though that's hard to imagine. Fraser will be the captain.
Wish it was Sir Scott of Burns but alas.... |

| Brodie Holland was on radio SEN yesterday. While being interviewed he revealed Maxwell and Fraser were sitting either side of Mick Malthouse for the official team photo. (he also laughed saying Burns and a few others were sitting close by,not wanting to give anything away of course). Traditionally the captain sits next to the coach in the pic, so looks like either one of those two have got the job (unless they're going to break with tradition). Either would be great, but personally I'd like to see Burns get the gig. |
