LMAO .. Ahhhh another Collingwood supporter..lol..you cant spell and you certainly have no reading and comprehension skills and grammar? dont let me start on your correct use of grammar. Firstly little boy, when you are in school next week...LISTEN TO THE TEACHER and you might just learn something. If you had BOTHERED to read any of my previous comments on this topic, you (if you had half a brain that is) might have realised that I FULLY SUPPORTED Setanta O'hAilpin and never at any time said he was an animal. Maybe because there is a lack of PICTURES in this thread, you find it hard to understand ANYTHING that is written here..lmao..poor little illiterate kid!!!!!!

I can't see the issue here. Getting a 4 week holiday from your job if you punch a Carlton player in the head and then kick him while he is on the gound is a good thing isn't it?

We already made mention of Cloke's role in the incident, he backhanded Setanta to the throat, not intending to be vicious, but in the act of fending Setanta off while they both charged for the ball.

I think people should seek information from Cloke in his role in this incident. It takes two to have a blue so do not cloak the facts..

having read the two post ssupporting Setanta, I can see where they are coming from and agree to a point but only about the passion for the club and football in general but I still maintain the kick in the crustie was cowardly

I agree, while Setanta's rush of blood is not a good example to young kids and the kick in the butt while Cloke was face down on the ground a definate no no, Setanta does play with a fierce passion, he always gives everything he has got and what isnt mentioned a lot is that Cloke did backhand him first to the throat to try to fend him off when they were both going for the ball, and Setanta flew off the handle. I do love the way Setanta plays his football. I love how excited and passionate he is when he kicks a goal, as if he has just kicked the winning goal in the grand final each and every time. Everyone makes mistakes, lets not hang him for this one. If it happened again, then maybe Carlton would have to think of axing him, but let him atone for his mistakes. I'm sure he wishes he could go back in time and erase the incident. He is hot blooded, but plays for the jumper with a passion and desperately loves his football and wants to achieve. Is that so bad? With a little guidance he can hopefully be a little more in control when incidents like this happen next time during a game, to allow himself to play with aggression yes, but not to cross the line.

No way, keep him!! This is exactly how the blues should be preparing for the season ahead. Whilst losing his temper and the subsequent actions were not accpetable, the attitude of giving it everything you've got and training as hard as you can before the NAB Cup has even started is EXACTLY the right way for the team to prepare for the year ahead. His loss of temper was a bad example for the team yes, but his effort is a bloody great example to the team if you ask me...go hard or go home should now be the motto at the blues (especially now that we are in the enviable position of players competing for positions in the first 22).

The cowardly attack on Cloke by O`hAilpin indicated his tenure at the club is overrated and he should be sent packing by the club, irrispective of the finding of the AFL.
Supporters and members of the club expect team unity if we are to be a force in 2009. by his actions O`hAilpin has indicated that he is not a tem player. The punch was enough but the kick in the crusties was too much. He has to go |
