| <<1st of all thanx jonah.not many carlton supporters congratulate the tigers after they beat u.>> MY sincere congrats to the tiges, they really showed us quite comprehensively where we are at in our development and cast a very realistic light (perhaps shadow is a better word?) on our recent optimism. I hadn't gotten on earlier to congratulate as I needed to sober up first. Anyway, as I have said previously, the blues are miles away from top eight material. The tigers showed us especially that, amongst many things, we don't have the legs to run out matches (which is one of my previous arguments against our so-called tanking, the boys just can't run out a game) which is perhaps the most worrying aspect of all as no matter how good our disposals might improve or the gelling of a new midfield or beefing up the defense etc, if you can't run-out a match you will get flogged every week (even against the dees) because of the avalanche of goals in the final qtr. I can't see our fitness improving that much mid-season (although Juddy and Stevens probably will having come back form injuries), so as far as this thread goes....HERE WE GO AGAIN!!! There will be improvement this year, but not enough! Blues to finish 15th again! |

| at least the true man stood up and was counted, admitting he was wrong and standing himself down for 1 week. but enough of this , lets concentrate on next week, we will be lucky to beat saints, but somewhere down the line we will ambush one of the other participants in this comp. |

| scarpi, richo would be nice. anyone who puts in 13.5 klm in a game from his position has dedication. in a strange twist, david parkin said that carlton would never win a flag whilst fevola was in the side, yet he (parko) brought him to the club go figure |

| Scarpi222, here is a rare one. well played tigers. you blokes can put as much shiiit as you like on carlton, but someone has to carry the wooden spoon, and it looks like we might do it this year given the attitude of senior players in round 1. Fev, you hate him or love him, turned up and went through the motions, judd, well what I saw of the game, should have stayed west. | Justice prevailed on Friday night....the blues are just an arrogant bunch...they wanted to put their best 22 on the field to ensure a win,but they still lost....maybe if they had of suspended Fev as he deserved at least it would have shown some discipline and integrety for the club. | i agree rooster.it wass a great game.mistakes were made,but it was nail biting stuff.except when tigers got a roll on and carlton forgot to play footy...neither will make the 8,but the best possible thing richmond could of done was win.and that they did.winning the games against the not so good teams is what we must do.and we done it...congratulations from any carlton fans are very rare as not one has been given.just excuses | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
