| Johns would have to have been one of the laziest halfbacks ever to lace up a boot. The only kick he ever chased was one that may have resulted in a try to himself. Defense hahahaha. Johns had flashes of individual brilliance over a few years that he played under the influence of drugs. Wally Lewis was a team player, won more man of the matches then any other player in SOG, the Pinacle of Rugby League. Wally is by far and away the player who played above and beyond his ability. For me he is No 1 Good call on the dogs for the spoon by the way hahahahahahaha Looks like it will be the naked hotel *** ing, women beating, drink driving, home invasion, roosters with soggy 2nd dogs, to jam that spoon where it fits hahahahahahahahahaha |

| I've been watching league for 40 plus years and Johns is the best player I have seen going around in that time. For a number of reasons that obviously other people must have noticed as I am not the only one with this opinion. Surely you have an OPINION. As for the drugs thing if you consider he was not taking performance enhancing drugs such as steroids then he could have been even better. Put skills into categories such as defence, attack, kicking, motivating a side,innovation, passing, playing with injury etc and you would find overall Johns will win hands down over any other player to have laced a boot (in my opinion)as he was the complete player. I dont support the knights as I am now and always will be a staunch rooster supporter. And yes I am aware the tigers touched us up last night. Finally El Masri has been an excellent player for the dogs for a long time and has been a great ambassador for the lebanese community as well as achieving a point scoring record and this should not be forgotten when he hangs up the boots. Halligan on the other hand is memorable for three things only. He was a kiwi, he could kick goals and he invented the kicking tee. |

| I've been watching League for 25 of its 100 years, to even propose that I could suggest the greatest player is silly in its self. I know for sure that it ain't Johns. | hahahahahaha Halligan, so forgettable...... well you remember him, so how is he forgettable? Maybe if Halligan and El Masari had been drug cheats, then they could have been the greatest ever. They wouldn't have been, and even Drugy Johns was nowhere near the greatest player in League. As for the spoon, most teams improve every year, the Roosters have done f%$# all except get rid of promising juniors in favour of the Dogs sloppy seconds. The Roosters are my pick for the spoon. |
