One thing about this whole SBW episode... it has brought out the hypocrisy in a LOT of people and orginisations The backers of Super League years ago where whole clubs were enticed to break contracts were none other than News Limited (The Daily Telegraph) and one of the first clubs to do so..... Canturbury Bulldogs... One of the main players in the subsequent legal battles (on the SL side)... David Gallop.
SBW spoke very well in his interview and made an awful lot of sense.
Don't try and tell me that if a News Limited reporter was on a $100,000 contract he wouldn't do all he could to switch to a $300,000 contract with Fairfax.
Same with most Dogs supporters. $50,000 a year as a brickies labourer or $200,000 a year as a brickies labourer just working for someone else... what would you do???? |
