| And now the club looks like it is keen on legal action against SBW. I hope that the club genuinely goes after him. He is 1 year into a 5 yr deal and wants out? The club stands to lose a bucket load on this......take what he is worth. |

With the players we have at the moment, I don't think Kevin could make the Dogs have an impact this year. I think it looks better for him if he takes over next year. We will be in a battle for the spoon along with Penrith Souths and Dragons, although I think the first 2 will battle it out. If Kevin took over this year and we got the spoon or finish in the bottom 3 it would be a bad start to his coaching career and we would struggle to attract any new players. Folkes may leave towards the end of the year when the damage has been done, thus allowing Kevin to take over untarnished.
No doubt the Family values are still alive and well at the Dogs with Kevin the only Coach interviewed for the job, with Rugby League run as a business now I'm not convinced this has been the right move. No doubt Folkes will pop up somewhere at the club. |

| It still amazes me that teams (when this sort of decision is made) don't implement the change immediately. Why keep Folkes on? It isn't as if you are brining a stranger in....this is someone who is integral in the team already!! Let him take over the reigns now. They are both being paid antway, so it isn't as if they need to pay out one contract and then on top of that pay a new contract. |

You're right with those comments stats. with a new coach and new management we might stand a better chance in 2009.
Cannot see the "boys'" improving much this year.No top eight for us. No motivation. |

| If there was a decent club and admin, then the players wouldn't have left. They wouldn't have had reason......but with the Coach on his way out (decision should have been a year ago), you may stand a better chance of keeping people. |

Is your trolling meant to gain some sort of angry response? We have a team in dissaray, with a board unwilling to sign players. I have supported the dogs for 30 years and didn't think they would come close to beating the Warriors at home. No doubt we will not be making the 8 this year.

| if you cant beat them buy them??better get the cheque book out and head over to rooster land and start buying cause you certainly cant beat them-and mason scoring the first try,it just doesnt get any better than that-the doggy fans wouldnt have seen him score his second try, they had already left. |

| Yes it was a very good win sats, but I wouldn't say you mastered the dogs i would say you bought the dogs. But thats the nature of todays game, if you can't beat them buy them. |

Many dogs fans were vocal in and out of these threads before the game. It was the dogs talking about "smashing" Willie, and having SBW "belt" or "shoulder" Willie etc etc etc......well:
Mason two tries, and the dogs combined got two tries.......it seems they were a one horse team. Beaten dogs look very sad with their tails between their legs hiding from the master.
Roosters mastered the dogs and sent them home without a bone! |
