Re:t-shirts Reply to this message
If the real fool SDM actually read what I wrote I said Ryan was Unwanted. And as clearly stated Luke Patten was also unwanted. I am not trying to say the dogs are the only team that creates these players I was just comparing us to the Roosters, and Like I said One team creates superstars the other Buys them.....

Re:t-shirts Reply to this message
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
After three seasons with the Parramatta Eels, Ryan was unable to establish himself in the first-grade team and accepted a contract with the Bulldogs for 2003. His second season with the Bulldogs, 2004, was personally and professionally successful with a return to State of Origin, selection at international level and captaining the Bulldogs to a Grand Final win over the Sydney Roosters. (Yes I got that wrong Ryan did play SOO while at Parra but like wikpedia says he was unable to secure a first grade spot WE GOT HIM FROM RESERVE GRADE)
Luke Patten (born 9 January 1980 in Bulli, New South Wales) is an Australian professional rugby league player for the Bulldogs club in the National Rugby League (NRL) competition. An Illawarra junior, Patten previously played for the Illawarra Steelers and the St George Illawarra Dragons. His position of choice is at fullback. We signed him in 2001 AFTER HE PLAYED FOR ST GEORGE
Gee what a total fool am I.....

Re:t-shirts Reply to this message
You just keep getting dumber, Ryan was a SOO rep at Parra, who was let go in order to keep bloody Vella, it was a poor choice, but like tonga, was developed, and made his name and stake for rep duties, at Parra. Fool.

Re:t-shirts Reply to this message
Yes the Roosters are the only team that buys high profile international players and then tries to claim them as "Signed Country players".If you look at the dogs we signed Shreek when he was a great player. And of course we signed from either reserve grade, unwanted, or juniors Utai, signed as a nobody junior from NZ Ryan (C) Reserve reject from parra Tonga-See Ryan, Patten Unwanted by saints, Mason signed from local newcastle comp TORONTO junior player, Williams Signed as a junior from N.Z, Cleal Unwanted by Manly/Souths, will be a star, Miles, Anasta I could go on and on and, but what is the point. A few teams create superstars, the rest, like your Bondi Dogs buy them.....You might be in with a chance now because your local home grown boy Fitler (Penrith) Like Gould (Penrith, Dogs) is at the helm at the rooters. I must admit you probably made a few stars when Souths got kicked out of the Comp and you bought their juniors and still couldn't do a thing in the comp accept choke on Goulds Rooster.....

Re:t-shirts Reply to this message
you are soooo correct....and of course everyone else is innocent of this. And the Roosters are complete orphans when it comes to this practice.

I see the rorters out east way are complaining about the brilliant t-shirt being sold by the club.
They mentioned a long list of players that the dogs have signed up from other clubs and the bush. They didn't mention how many of those players were state and kangaroo players when they wer signed by the Dogs.
Beetson, Fulton, etc right up to the last ten years Easts have plundered other club's rep players.
Myles- Qld SOO player Anasta, Mason, O,Meley State and Aussie reps.
These players were coached into first grade and onto rep footy. Mason was a real pain in the neck and Folkes took 18 months to sort him out and he turned him into the player he is today. The roosters have been buying first graders and rep players for years.
