| Mason was not the centre of the Coffs Business, it was Thurston...... hence why he left the club. He was not let go by the Dogs. He left beacuse he wanted Folkes removed as coach, as do 80% of the players . He also wanted Noads removed , which most of the members, board and players(ex and current ) want as well. |

| I cannot believe the shenanigans that went on at the Bulldogs in 2007!!!!!!!!! They are a joke and the great BULLFROG must be rolling over in his grave as they have disgraced his great legacy!!!!!!!!!!!! If Mason could read he should study the Bulldogs history of the 80's and 90's and see how Folkes played above his way at the highest levels without a backward step, and maintained loyalty to club, state & country when he could have made bigger dollars elsewhere like all the pussies leaving Canterbury for Bondi. |

| Yes I agree, I have been a bulldog fan for 44 years and I have seen some of the greats, terry lamb, kevin Ryan, Les Johns and I have to say that willie is a king size goose . His best days are behind him and the dogs will not really miss him. There is always some oneelse to come along when someone leaves. | Interesting to go back and look at the state of origin series this year and see how many times Gould describes Mason as "the heart and soul of NSW", etc, during the broadcasts. At the time I said it seemed like Gould was sweet talking the big girl.Now Folkes has stated he thinks Mason manufactured the showdown with the dogs to get a release, and all the speculation about his future was a smokescreen as the Eastern Suburbs Bulldogs, err, I mean Roosters, finalised the deal that Gould probably set in motion mid year. Just a warning big Willy, take not of how soon after coaching the chooks to a Grand Final Murray and Stuart were punted from the club, so if you perform as limply for them as you did for the dogs this year you might find yourself playing park footy very soon, as no other club will tolerate your precious prima donna antics. |

| For too long Mason and a number of other players have thought they are bigger than the club. They have dragged Canterbury's name through the dirt. So i say to Mason "Go, good riddance and take a few more players with you". To those people who are saying we should keep mason its obvious that you care more about him than the club.
