It is also not the Doggies that have this problem. All clubs are facing the same issue with their players.
Because this is their JOB and do not work full time at something else, and just play for teh love of the game on the weekend, ALL players in the league have too much time and too much money at their disposal...... leading to boredom and stupidity. |

Sonny Bill is a legend and should not be sanctioned in any way. He couldnt get in the toilet because they were filled with girls.
Will go down as one of the greatest in the history of the sport, if he keeps injury free. |

| nothing will change until the league takes a stand. The individual clubs won't do anything due to the fact that they will lose a great player and another team will pick them up. The leaugue needs to have the power to suspend players' match payments, and also suspend them from games a la judiciary. |

Pfft. SBW is targeted. I urionate in public every day, seriously, and u dont see my melon on the back page. and im sure many a thousand ppl have committed slight adultery in a public toilet. i dunno about u guys, but i get drunk a fair bit too. no one makes me give it up.
The only thing i disagree with is the drink driving and without a license. cuz those are the things that can really hurt other people.
But im sure he wouldnt do it again, having met him he is a genuine nice bloke, so once some tool at the dogs hammers home the danger of it, and the fact he is a role model to many children, he'd get the point. |

i understand what you are saying merlot, however i have friends who play/played in the NBL. And they were in the same situation, except being more national/international. And they didn't seem to get in any where near half as much trouble.
All they ever did in their schedule was train and play too. However outside that they too had LOTS of spare time, but never were in fights, major scandals, theft, etc
It seems to be more inherent in League than in any other sport. (take out Warne and cricket has a fairly clean image as well) |

Being involved with the Doggies both personally and professionally, its time for teh Board to seriously look at the senior members of the team, the coaching staff and support crew and their behaviour and antics. They need to be reined in and be made to set an example and lead by example for the players... something they are not doing at the moment. Their behaviour needs to be toned down as well. that way the players will take on board how bad their actions are if they have leaders who are well behaved.
Its time to show leadership, and stop the " don't do as i do, but do as i say" mentality. |

| yes i too agree that it is fine when you have a life partner to have sex with someone else in a public toilet. p1ss off fool, what he has done recently has been stupid beyond measure. Not every young man does the things that he and his team mates are doing. Normally because the people around them are smarter than this bulldog's team mob mentality, and tell there mates that it isn't ok to drive home drunk, or when you don't have a licence at all. WAKE UP!!!! We shouldn't be saying that any of this behaviour is sound, fair and reasonable. |

| Maybe everybody should stop bagging Williams and co and focus on low on field acts like the one i saw Friday night. What Brad Morrin did made me more ashamed to be a dogs supporter than anything Sonny or Willie have done. And before everyone starts. Get off the rape incident it's gettiing boring. I'm not condoning that either but it't over. Get on with it. |

Yeah but it works both ways.
During the game Rene threw a punch and the commentators sai "its not his go"
Wasnt it the same bloke who was charged with assaulting a Police officer at a surf club party???? |

| what is it with the sports media and it's ridiculous attempts at turning one the of the most laid back , unassuming stars in rugby league into a moronic thug?.. "troubled superstar williams" ?..anybody who knows or who has met williams will know that there's nothing "troubled" about him ..williams is a modest, humble dude with great footballing talent, who may make the odd mistake ( like the rest of us)..once the sensationalist trashy sports media get off his back and take their tabloid exploits elsewhere, the better..( have the imbeciles who write this garbage EVER played football in their miserable lives?) |
