I expect these sought of comments from these bronco threads, the real problem is your all saying the same thing!
Way too subjective!

Your all bland bland bland, how on earth can you have an objective discussion?

Re:Half-back troubles Reply to this message
As we all seen Last Friday, 4th tackle it's either Petro up the middle off one pass, or Hunt run straight from the dummy half. The problem is more than just an ordinary half back, there are about 10-11 players standing on their heels and wait for someone to perform a miracle. The forward pack this year has been good, the backline is the worst we have seen for decades ( or possibly the worst in history). Put Locyker and Hunt aside, the 2 wingers have no real pace nor power, Hodge spend too much time doing his little run from dummy half rather than playing like a real centre, and dont start to talk about half back.. There is a guy wearing No 7, but he's no half back.

Re:Half-back troubles Reply to this message
Which is what is missing from the broncos at the moment. Their defence is solid. Their attack is alright with Lockyer, but without him which we witnessed against the dragons they are lost.

This would not be the case if they had a half decent halfback. No disrespect to Perry but he is not the man to solve their problems (as he himself quoted).

Imagine if the bronco's could get a quality half to complement lockyer. If there was no salary cap and you could get any half back it would be Thurston. Although Prince, Orford, Gower, Cronk or a plethora of others would make a good team awsome.

No, I think winning Premierships back to back in this day and age (salary cap) is near impossibe. The Broncos will be lucky to make the top 8 this year. Although I would like to see them make it, I dont think they have the petrol in the tank to perform at their peak consistantly

Re:Half-back troubles Reply to this message
a 10 year business plan? *** k your a jerkoff. Why would u buy shyte players, just so u can buy a good one in 10 years?

Rebuilding? spastic, u lsot webcke. thats about it.

the broncs dont have an even half-decent halfback. Rely on lockyer way way too much, and when he has a shyte game, u go nowhere.

and your a *** king retard.

oh, and !!! !!!! !

Re:Half-back troubles Reply to this message
Again, its not about whose fault you think it is.
I bet their working to a 10 year business plan, a 1-2 year plan is very short sighted.
Coupled with this we have players contracts to consider, players wanting to opt out and move on etc, player injuries and the like.
I am trying to suggest that we as supporters and spectators want it fixed, and now is never sooner enough!
If for every thing that goes wrong and to turn on the person responsible each time we would have no supporters/players/etc left to make up a club!
Theres a lot more going on than what we see!

"I see your point BUT the broncos are still nurturing and are in a rebuilding phase ...remember!
Maybe our expectations are too high, but we can only do with what we got!!"

That'd be your recruitment managers fault for not getting a good half-back at the broncos sooner then next year...
