| Ace I heard this question asked on the Fox Sports and Tallis seemed to give a good breakdown; Bennett is not interested in taking players with him and I suspect that the players concerned are not wanting to go with him in any case(for their own reasons???). Bennett wants a NEW and FRESH challenge too; and to do that He will want to build from the ground up and rebuild a Premiership winning Team, which is what the Saints will be paying Him for. |

Quietly spoken forward Wapau (pictured) will complete a stunning rags-to-riches tale if, as expected, he makes his NRL debut for the Broncos on Friday night. While Wapau was not named yesterday for the Easter showdown with the Roosters, he has been placed on stand-by and will be rushed in should Ben Hannant not recover from a foot problem. Hannant is racing the *** to be fit for Friday night's blockbuster after straining his achilles tendon against Penrith last Sunday but is considered a less than 50 per cent chance of playing. Brisbane has already been forced to include two new forwards, David Taylor and Nick Kenny, following round one knee injuries to key men Joel Clinton and Corey Parker. With Hannant likely to join them in the casualty ward, Wapau is set to suit up for his NRL debut against a Roosters' pack that includes established stars Mason, Mark O'Meley, Anthony Tupou, Craig Fitzgibbon and Nate Myles. The 25-year-old groundsman, who spent the off-season training with the Broncos before being sent back to state league club Redcliffe, was sent an urgent SOS from club officials yesterday.
