Tony Carroll, the one picked to wear No. 6 in Lockyer’s absence
Tony Carroll is a great defender & has found some good attacking form of late. Bennett will use him the similarly as Bird was used by NSW in origin 3. He will mainly be taking on the line running at the opposition playmakers. The Broncos have gotten themselves in a good position so Carroll as well as the rest of the Broncos will have time to adjust in time for the finals.
They will miss Lockyer immeasurably, his line drop outs, orga.nas.ational skills & support play. If they get some coheshion in the halves for the final series wether it is Carroll or some one else they maybe able to do alright in the finals. If some how they do get a combination that works well they can’t defend their premiership without Lockyer. |
