Pretty fast bloke, Hooper. He seems like a guy who can really lift the Lions' midfield in the years to come.

Sounds excellent. Plus, I think a local bar just got Setanta Sports on the TV, meaning I can catch some Aussie Football locally. I'm ecstatic. Can't wait to watch Rhan, Brown, Black, and the rest of the boys in a few months!

Re:Rahn Hooper Reply to this message
I dont think he lost interest, well not at the end of the season... because he was looking at options in vic (i.e. tigers), and clubs were very keen to get him... hence he must have proved to them that he is now serious about footy and not a risk to got walk abouts again.

Im glad he is staying in the lions den... he is clearly our best small defender with heaps more improvement to come... The question will be not if he will be a walk up start for the team, but how McGrath will go now with more pressure to preform

Hey Mertes! Long time no hear!

Rhans future is looking really good at the Lions. He has re-signed for either 2 or 3 years (I can't remember). Lethal loves him... as do we. Blistering pace and loads of skill. Expect him to be a major part of the coming dynasty at Brissy!

I re-watched the Lions triumph over the Eagles last evening, and enjoyed watching this exciting young player again. What's Hooper's future with the Lions look like? Is he going to be coming off the bench again this year? Starting 18? I read somewhere he almost retired due to a lack of interest in the game. I certainly hope he's rediscovered his love for footy. Just curious as to everyone's thoughts, since everyone here is more in the know than I am.

Mertes
