Re:The 2009 Lions Reply to this message
Berger must stay, Clark isn't really a strong future ruck option IMO.
McGrath is more valuable up forward, but he was a defender in a premiership too, but given our lack of small forward firepower last year then yes a HFF or fwd pocket.
I'd like to see harding get more game time, and now that Bradshaws knee is better yes rotate he and Brown. We can only really afford one of Didak or Kerr. Personally, take Didak, and try to get Cousins on the cheap, Kerr is an in and under and we have enough of those. By getting cousins and didak we have more midfield/HFF rotations and proven goalscoring options, it also means less pressure on Power/viagra/johnstone also.

B:McDonald Merrett Drummond
HB: Viagra Patfull Roe
C: Dalziell Black Risky
HF: Johnstone Brown Didak
F: McGrath Bradshaw Hooper

Foll: Charman, Power, Cousins

Int: Berger, Brennan, Sherman, Harding/Corrie

Re:The 2009 Lions Reply to this message
Switching Mcgrath to defence has been pointless since last year. He was a good small forward, he hasn't had any good performances really since. Didak in the team would be nice, but I wouldn't want Kerr on what he and John Worsfold are asking for.

Re:The 2009 Lions Reply to this message
THANK YOU!! Someone else agrees that Ash McGrath belongs up forward.

A little more realistic than my team brisbane_maroons, but hey a bloke can dream can't he?

Something else I think should happen is Brown and Bradshaw rotating.. They both have the tank, size, skill and strength to play either CHF or FF.

Re:The 2009 Lions Reply to this message
Yeah. Ruckmen mature later. I'd rather have a mature L'berger with us than agin us.
I like Gamble too but I think we need smalls. When's Betts out of contract?

Jah Brennan would stay. I would trade Berger for Didak if they would take it.

Re:The 2009 Lions Reply to this message
Not bad.

Here's what the 2009 Lions lineup would look like if i had my way.

Backs: MacDonald, Merrett, Drummond
Half-backs: Adc0@k, Patful, Roe
Centres: Dalziell, Black, Ri$chitelli
Half-Forwards: Didak, Brown, Corrie
Forwards: Hooper, Bradshaw, McGrath

Followers: Kerr, Charman
Rover: Power

Interchange: Lauenberger, Begley, Sherman

EMG: Clark, Harding, Johnstone, Collier

Send Selwood, Moody and a 2nd round draft pick to West Coast for Kerr, and Jared Brennan to Collingwood for Didak.

I don't really want DIds at Brissie, but he is a talented footballer.
