| Agreed Emm, The Lions don't need a new HEAD coach. They need a forward coach (Lynchy where are you?!?!.. ditch that go nowhere job at Fox Sports and get in the game with the team you love son!) and as much as I think Craig Lambert has done the job well, I think we need a skills and or midfield coach with a firm grasp of the modern game. Our defence is solid, Leppa's going alright there, but they need support from their midfield and forwards to ensure that they aren't propping the team up ALL NIGHT. I am a fan of good hard players that make good decisions, the Sam Mitchells, the Michael Voss', the Marc Murphy's (big fan by the way, welcome back at your dad's old club anytime you want), the Jonathan Browns, the players that always try hard, give it their all, and even if they lose they know its not because they didn't try their big hearts out.. its players like Jared Brennan that are keeping this team from reaching its potential, he has all the skill in the world.. but he is THE LAZIEST PLAYER I HAVE EVER SEEN.. I know that lazy can be confused with laconic.. but this guy doesn't do the 1%ers, he doesn't play for his teammates, and as hard as it is for me to say for one of my team, but he has to go while he has some currency and while we can secure someone who WILL commit his body and his shot at glory for the good of the team. I make no secret of the fact that I think they should get rid of Brennan (I said 3 years ago that they should swap Brennan for Ryan Griffen... that was before Griffen exploded and became one of the best players in the league.. by the way guys.. guess who's coming out of contract with the dogs... Find out if the dogs still want Brennan and negotiate a trade.. Lethal, get your list management team on this NOW). Cheers big ears. |

| The Lions do not need a new coach. there is nothing wrong with the way leigh matthews is coaching. the players are the ones who are playing the game. a coach can only teach them so much, it is up to the players to do what they are suppose to do. another thing is that we are so predictable. we always kick to johnathan brown... always we can't keep doing that. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| someone please explain to me. what the heck is wrong with the lions? they play as if they don't care. last night against carlton they played 1 quarter of football, and frankly thats not good enough for professional athletes who get paid like over 200 000 dollars to play each year. now i know they all don't get that but majority does. the win against the bulldogs was great. it seems as though they really fight for the win against good teams and really bad against teams who aren't doing so well. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
