I havent been able to watch much of the lions lately due to TV coverage issues... but from what I saw in the start of the year including live against port, was the lack of fluency we have in clearly/running the ball out of defence... it was a major weakness last year, and I think it is something we need to improve on.
I am also disappointed with several 2nd string players who should have taken a step forward this year to make the inclusion of travis johnstone more effective... such as Risky, stiller, selwood, and notting who had a cracker year last year but has for some reason dropped a heap of form.
still, our future looks good... lets hope brown signs up for life hey |

I've been around. Just busy finishing up graduate school, but I've been keeping tabs on the Lions. Glad to see my guy Rahn Hooper chalk up 4 goals last weekend. He is FUN to watch. Glad you guys remember me.
I guess I'm disappointed to hear the Lions are duffing some easy shots, but maybe they're due to start making them more often. Glad to see they didn't overlook Melbourne heading to the Geelong match-up. Don't like our chances much, but then again, what team does against Geelong? |

well bradshaw has been sensational. i reckon we're in a good spot, at least we've won some. our percentage should have been higher though after that last game. wasted chances, and heaps of them.
i don't see how players can miss that much. they are the best players in the country (afl players im referring to, not just brissy), and miss so much. they must really be unable to cope with pressure. |

| sitting in a alrite place could be 4 and 2 or even 5 and one but spraying give me goals has cost us two wins (WEAGLES and HAWKS)so in saying that we could be in a great spot but were not doing to bad and have not been beat by more than three goals is a good thing our defence will get stronger as our foward set up and once Travis fully settles in we can improve no doubt finals is a must this year for the youngsters they need to taste it and proform under this pressure so next year we can really give it a shake interesting to see we get some easier games after the cats this week i think we will be lookin good come round 10 or 11 |

Hey Lions Fans,
What should we take out of the first six games? Are we about where we want to be (at 3-3) or should we be further up the ladder (or have we exceeded expectations)? Brown's goal scoring is down, but is that a figure of his role changing with Bradshaw back this year or it something amiss? |
