| The South Melbourne Dragons chose to sit out this season and yes I believe there will a Sydney team next year!! The League is rebuilding and we the fans should be supporting them! I have just moved over from Perth and yes I will always bleed wildcats blood! But I looked at Tigers membership and it is lot more expensive the Perth!! It is cheaper to support the Storm or an AFL team then the Tigers!!!! |

I appreciate your dedication to your Dragons, however it wasnt the league that kicked them out. They decided it wasnt worth it. Brian left and went to China.
I was a Kings fan and when they went down I really loved your Dragons spirit (and the fact you had Brian as coach) but seriously, its the league that is in trouble, not the Dragons support. Until the league gets itself back in the media and the Community good books the Dragons wont be going there. (as per the emails I have from the club).
You want the Dragons back, so do I, as well as I want the Kings back but someone messed up and the League needs to rebuild.
Perhaps your efforts could focus on that rather than trying to get the Dragons back in. |

It worked for Daryl Somers and Hey Hey It's Saturday, so why not a professional basketball franchise?
A "Bring Back OUR South Dragons" Facebook page has now been set up, providing an outlet for fans to show their support for the return of the 2008/09 NBL Champions.
This is the first of hopefully many steps in showing Basketball Australia, Basketball Victoria and prospective stakeholders that there is strong demand for a second Melbourne franchise, preferably the Dragons.
The initial target for this exercise is 1000 members, which is much more realistic than the Sydney Kings' equivalent, which aims for 10,000.
So spread the word to fellow social networkers and join the Bring Back OUR South Dragons group now @ http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=119477681571 |
