Ah the Kings, I remember the D-Train(Dwayne Mclain),Caffino, the list goes on, the good old days, come on Sydney get your act together.Surely some sponsors out there can see an opportunity to support basketball in Sydney.

We agree. Come on up to the Gold Coast and join us at our home games. The Blaze management do it well. For razzle dazzle up-close and personal entertainment ... in air-conditioned comfort ... there is no other sport that offers that in this country. I heard the scoreboard cost them nearly a million. Thank you Blaze for bringing top quality basketball to our 'hood' and, hopefully this year, it gets even better. We fill half our stadium regularly so we've got space for more. Sydney won't be fielding a team in this year's league so why not hop on a plane come to the Coast watch a game and see how well we do it ... and hopefully we might win! You will.

I think the problem is that the NBL and the Kings went to BIG. The sport is not even in the top 5 anymore or even 10. Why have the entertainment centre as a home ground when you don't even fill up half of the seats . Where is the atmosphere in that not to mention the cost to hold it there$$$$$$$$. Find a venue that holds 5000 people that you can pack to the rafters and get it back like it was in the 80s early 90s eg ( THE SNAKE PIT ) Lets get big screen replays and live brass bands and make it a good family night with everyone up close to the action .To many other sports have taken over you need to go back to the roots and start again.I played at a high level as a junior till my early 30s and i would love to give my kids the same joy that i got out of basketball but why put them into the system when there is no where for them to go.
Sydney needs a team

Shameful Sydney and NSW no Kings or anything else you want to call yourselves. Get your act together 4 million people and cant raise a decent bid. Townsville with 150,000 people strongest financially in the league lol

The new NBL has only announced Wollongong as a going NSW concern so far. neither Sydney or West Sydney have come up with the $1 million bank guarantee.
