| this is not an Aussie ur the embarrasement .....fool. u clearly know nothing bout basketball nor bout Gaze , he is humble & has intellegent informed commet on both the Aussie players & their opp teams . I think our guys put in a fantastic effort,hold their heads up proud, great skills & even our big guys were small in frame next to the steroid pumpped . Channel 7 has done a *** job of showin the games , cant believe why yhey would cut part way into a bball game to show Afl ... stop being greedy 7 either show all the bball & let another channel show the Afl or show Afl & let other channel show all the bball.Same what was that cutting out 1st 1/4 for softball , let 1 channel show softball & another show bball. Come on Olympics only on for 2weeks so show it all & share it round different channels & tell us the TIME of the games not just comming up today. |

| The basketball coverage has been poor - the other night they cut away from the Opals match to cover another event and didn't bother to play back what we'd missed of the bball game. So frustrating. Hope they don't do the same thing tonight. I disagree about the softball, it was a GREAT match. I don't understand why Seven can take their poxy Today Tonight show off for a week to give them an extra hour to cover the Olympics. |

| i totally agree with all these comments. channel 7 is ridiculous sometimes they showed that softball game for like more than 3 hours!? (who wants to see softball?!).. then cut to the 2nd quarter of USA vs AUS >> one of the biggest games! cant beleive they didnt show the 1st quarter >> it would've been mad to watch why advertise and hype it up if your not even going to show it properly |

| I agree ! The coverage of the Olympics by Channel 7 is appalling - after the first couple of days, we have stopped watching the coverage as there are more commercials than an Olympic event. | I am repeating my post from the other thread as the action seems to be going on here. Anyway, I totally agree. I still can't believe that anyone at Channel 7 would be capable of making the decision to skip the entire first quarter of one of the biggest games in Aussie basketball this year. But at the same time I should have expected it, in light of Channel 7's refusal to show ANY basketball game in its entirety during this Olympics. You may as well show none of it! At least then another station could have the right to telecast the game properly. This was absolutely ridiculous, particularly after Channel 7 unashamedly promoted the telecast of this vital and exciting match last night - the face off between the 'Redeem Team' and the Boomers was touted with gusto but failed to mention we would be denied the entire first quarter. Just have to use out imaginations I suppose. Obviously, I am appalled, and I know many of my friends who were looking forward to the game will be disgusted with yet another sub par performance by Channel 7. Regards Candice |

| This is the worst Olympic coverage I have ever seen!!! We are constantly being forced to watch sports that we have never heard of, which Australia isn't even competing in, or replays of stuff that happened 2 days ago. They tried to work up a frenzy about the Basketball on their own news program and then didn't even cut to it when it started. Now it's Half Time lets see if they show something else instead after the ads!!! Don't hold your breath |

| I think maybe even Australians were hoping the Japanese would score to get rid of the softball. And the game wasnt even live. Anyone who works during the day has basically missed seeing things like diving, kayaking, athletics etc etc because at night time all 7 have showed has been swimming trials, gymnastics and now softball!
