The basketball coverage has been poor - the other night they cut away from the Opals match to cover another event and didn't bother to play back what we'd missed of the bball game. So frustrating. Hope they don't do the same thing tonight.

I disagree about the softball, it was a GREAT match.

I don't understand why Seven can take their poxy Today Tonight show off for a week to give them an extra hour to cover the Olympics.

Sevens coverage was a joke lets show NON-IMPORTANT heats of swimming rather than crucial games of basketball

------------------------- ------------------------- ------------

So what does that tell you about the future of Basketball in this country? And I don't mean local club competitions, which will always be strong

I didn't expect much in the way of basketball coverage in the lead up the games, to most here it is just "yank ball" but being a big basketball fan, and the way you have built it up the past few 36 hours has had me genuinely excited. Last night and this morning, I have seen numerous ads and even clips of Bogut press conferences promoting Boomers v Croatia 10pm AEST. Come time for the game, I was excited and throwing down a red bull to make sure I didn't miss a thing. It was getting late but I assured myself, "it'll be soon! it'll be soon!." Finally, 11.30pm rolls around....

What a PATHETIC job of Australian Men's Basketball coverage! Rather than show, if not all, than most of our game against Croatia, we get a watered down 3rd quarter, which was broken up by 5 minute ad breaks. But the biggest slap in the face? You followed with the USA v China game in full.

Now I understand the great draw card that would be the NBA stars against the host nation and their flag bearing giant, who according to your coverage is "the most recognised face in the world" but at the experience of our own country representitives?

To be honest, tonight I'd rather have watched repeated replays of Stephanie Rice's record swim (I'm sure I'll get them over the next week anyway) than USA v China. Now under normal circumstances, I would pick any form of basketball over swimming, however there is something different in these 16 days. In these 16 days I'd rather watch a young Australian face i've never seen, with a name I've never heard of, compete in a sport which I wouldn't normally watch. Like millions of others, its these 16 days where I will cheer my ass off for that young unknown in green and gold.

Regardless of the game result, I wonder how our Boomers would feel to know their own country is fed USA v China in its enitrety, while they get a lousy 5 minutes of chopped up action.

Just would like channel 7 to know that the coverage for olympic basketball is a joke! I stayed up to watch Australia v Croatia, it didn't start till 12am and we only saw a quarter of the game. Myself and many others are very disappointed.
