| It wasnt a fantastic game. Close in the 1st, LA dominated in the 2nd and Boston dominated in the 3rd. The fact that both KB and KG FG% was off leaves a lot of room for a better game 2. Fisher was a stand out in the first half but couldnt keep it up in the 2nd. And im not so sure about the PP injury. |

Good win to Boston, but not overly upset.
Lakers played like shyte, Boston got some nice calls, and it was still a pretty close game.
If Phi-Jax can make the necessary adjustments, then 2's still a chance. LA only has to take 1 of the first 2 to put some really nasty pressure on the C's.
Sheesh... gotta say it: the Pierce *cough-cough* 'injury' was a bit much. |

| Im a Celtics fan, but also a fan of the East. But its a brave basketball fan who claims that the East is "tougher" then the West. The East has 2 titles to its name since the end of Dr Phils last teams reign of terror and the West has the rest. Boston, Detroit and Cleveland were really the only serious contenders in the East this year while the West had the Lakers, the reigining champ Spurs, the new Shaqalicious Suns, a surprising Hornets outfit, a Utah team with an enviable home record plus a respectable Denver team. The East is still the least but im hoping Boston can bring homew the bacon and maybe start to shift the power. Its wayyyyyyyyy overdue..... |

Easiest draw?
Look at who hasn't been paying attention!
- Denver: 50/32 record. Yes, they were a good match-up for the Lakers, but that doesn't mean they're a bad team.
- Utah (54/28), last year's Conference finalists who got beaten by - guess who? - the team that went on to win it all: San Antonio.
- San Antonio (56/26) - reigning champs...
Versus Boston, who beat Atlanta in 7 (Hawks - 37/45), struggled with the Cavs (45/37), then beat Detroit (59/23).
I'd suggest to you, that at every level, the Lakers have had the tougher run. |

isn't it funny how the Celtics and Lakers have made getting into the NBA Finals look so easy???
I think Phoenix and Detroit would just be shaking their heads, wondering just exactly what's going on... |

Evening B-ball fans. I dont normally post on the ball boards but ive been in the process of moving house and have found a stack of NBA B-ball trading cards from the early-mid 90's.
If anyone wants them, theyre for the taking. All in good condition with clear plastic sleeves (most of 'em).
Keeping the Birds, Magics, Divacs, Rices and Kobes as all are faves but the remainder have some quality rookies - Webbers, T Hardaway, Hill, Iverson, Camby, Marbury etc.
Some inserts - Hill, Shaq, Mashburn, D Robinson, Zo, Finlay, Eddie Jones and others.
Some nice cards if youre a collector or just a fan of the era.
If ya want 'em, let me know via these boards and ill provide more details direct to email.
Cheers.
Don - Shakin at the likely Celtics showdown yet?! |
