I don't expect LBJ to bolt at the end of his deal, because the overpaid deals that the Cavs have end or become tradeable as expirings before his deal finishes enabling them to make some moves over the next couple of years to put better pieces around him.

this is all danny ferry's fault to begin with - he signed the two big contracts of injury prone zydrunas and hughes to begin with. both of these contracts have 3 years to run (and over $10 mil/season) and given their health problems - they are unmovable. add to that the 2 years remaining on damon jones and donyel marshal (at $4 mil and $6 mil a season), there is not much the cavs can do for 2 more years at least. le brons extension only runs for 3 more years. i would expect him to bolt once that is completed.

The Cavs really didn't have much choice other than to do nothing they have little to nothing of value trade wise, they are just hoping that Hughes plays the whole season ( and good luck with that ) and that Booby gets better and can play full time at the pg.

This is part of an article written by Amar Panchmatia for MVN.com on September 14th:

"Editor’s note: Due to the inability of the Cavs’ front office to do anything to strengthen a team that was swept out of the NBA Finals, the author will be forced to focus on NBA events outside of the Cavaliers organization to draw material for his future articles. One can only hope that Dan Gilbert admits that he lied about doing whatever it takes to build a championship team and that Danny Ferry is forced to sign-and-trade himself for Ron Harper just for the sake of saying he did something this offseason."

I agree with this writer 100%. If the Cavs GM is going to ignore the fact that he is close to losing Pavlovic, he may as well trade himself for someone that is going to do something. While Cleveland were able to make the finals, if the front office keeps going like this, the Cavs will have a tough time.

Last year the Eastern Conference was easier. This year Boston has KG and Ray Allen while NY has Zach Randolph and Orlando managed to trade for Rashard Lewis.

Sitting around doing nothing is not the way to win a championship.
