| Updated 11:11 pm: UP to 20 illegal immigrants are rioting inside the Maribyrnong Detention Centre. Police in riot gear have now entered the facility. Sources confirmed the Chinese inmates had smashed windows and doors. It is believed they were among 39 Chinese nationals arrested at a Warrnambool abattoir on March 11. ............ Why are these people still here.Why cant we just send them home....Geez if we donethat in there country we would get the death penalty...If they come here illegaly,fly them back to there own country.Would be cheaper than keepin them here |

| RICHIE Benaud, the voice of cricket for nearly half a century, has revealed his intention to retire from all commentary. Benaud let the revelation slip in a radio interview with 2GB’s Chris Smith today. Benaud said: "I’ll be doing Australian cricket next year – 2010 – but I don’t do any television at all anywhere else now and when I finish next year, then I’ll be doing other things. "But that’ll be no more television commentary." Benaud began work in television after retiring from an illustrious playing career in 1964. He worked extensively for the Nine Network in Australia, as well as the BBC and Channel 4 in the UK. Famous for his beige jackets and witty remarks, Benaud retired from English commentary after the infamous Ashes series of 2005. |
