| Frankly Des, I am not remotely interested in comparing cojones or intellect with you mate. wrt "The most successful" read, "thus far", a necessary qualification given the Deledio's, Gibbs's, Cooney's, Murphy's etc. etc. who are yet to complete their careers. It is also convenient to overlook the serious injuries he overcame and the rollercoaster ride of a club with great highs and some lows as well. Drew Banfield was never an egotist but a fantastic and valuable clubman. History too will be kinder to Ben Cousin's in the future. He is an unassuming, dedicated team player, plays fairly within the rules with incredible restraint given some of his taggers attentions & intentions! |

| Drew Banfield's one out against Nick Davis deep in the final quarter of last years GF was THE match winner for the Egos..... experience and his professional conduct allowed him to take Davis to the cleaners twice in the final stages of the game when all we needed was a point or 6 to keep the game alive or a win. Enjoy your retirement Drew ... you are the best #1 draft pick ever and a pain in the @r$e to Swans fans. |
