Looks fantastic? It bares an eerie resemblance to the cowardly Lion from the Wizard of Oz!

I suppose in the Wizard of Oz, the Lion did help remove the Wicked Witch of the West.
How long has Malthouse left on his job again???

fev is a poor replacement
for bradshaw their is
a huge diff in ego and
head size whislt bradshaw
would persist all day

I am very disappointed with your response to the sacking of Fev, ybj
I was hoping to see endless ranting about how the Melbourne clubs were so terrified of the upcoming Blues juggernaut, the Footy show run by the Pies president, Kangaroos president and a Geelong tragic entrapped Fev with double shots in his beer till the point he was legless, and put a microphone in his hand and camera in his face.
A deliberate conspiracy to weaken the Blues by removing their ace goalkicker.

Anyway - the point of my post was to clear up the fact that teh jumper is not changing as some trolls will have you believe.

THE Brisbane Lions have unveiled a new stylized version of a big cat on their jerseys for the 2010 season.

The newly drawn lion will appear on the front of both the home and away jumpers for the 2010 season.

This lion, posing with a paw on a football and taking its artwork cue from the club's logo revealed last month, replaces a silhouetted lion on the home jumper which the Lions have worn since the 1996 merger between Fitzroy and the Brisbane Bears.

The colours of the two jumpers – including maroon for the main jumper and a brighter red for the away jumper – remain the same as last year.

Fitzy, care to comment on how you got it wrong............. yet again.
The only source you have at the Lion is tomato on your 4 and 20 pie at the Melbourne games

Re:What's wrong with Paddle Pop Lion??? Reply to this message
Bradshaw has been a great Lion - OI think he played a couple of games for teh Bears - but then so have many players....
Warrick Capper, Jimmy Edmond, Mark Williams, Matt Rendell...

...but Braddy needs to get over himself a bit. He walked out on his mates in a Prelim that could have delivered a Flag - you simply do not ever do that. He was young and silly but he made a call that he thought was right - and teh Club supported that decision - he needs to understand that footy can go both ways...in the wash up it was Bradshaw who walked out on teh Lions a second time.

He'll always be welcome at teh Club - but he needs to come to terms with the fact that this is teh second time he has turned his back on his Club....so he shouldn't be too precious.

Anyway - the point of my post was to clear up the fact that teh jumper is not changing as some trolls will have you believe.

Chucker, the Lions did take over the Bears - don't you remember, the AFL offered Fitzroy the best 36 Bears players to help convince the mighty Fitzroy to take on the struggling Brisbane team.

I mean, Fitzroy kept their name, their home ground, their coach, their administration...clearly the senior partner! :P

"Geez, great loyalty shown to Bradshaw, fitz...."

Not much loyalty left in our game in general.

The Club is the Lions and we use facilities we took over in Brisbane.

The Lions have won 2 Brownlows, a Coleman, 2 Norm Smiths, 3 Jock McHales and 3 Premierships since our Gabba takeover.

The Lions are here forever - Fitzroy has for the best part absorbed the brief fleeting history of the Koalas - a history that yielded one Brownlow.

Yes, Fitzroy took over Brisbane
After the merger, Noel Gordon remained as Brisbane club president, John Northey remained as Brisbane coach, and essentially the entire Bears roster stayed on, while the club absorbed 8 Fitzroy players, of whom 7 were told to **** off because..... they played like Fitzroy players .
Fitzroy Lions never won a flag, and played in 9 finals series in 40 years. Such a great legacy to take interstate, eh Fitz??
But, you still didnt answer my question from last week
If the Fitzroy Gorillas become the Fitzroy Lions, they are still Fitzroy, yet when the Brisbane Bears become the Brisbane Lions, they become Fitzroy???

And by the way, the last link to a "Fitzroy Lions" premiership..(not to be confused with the Brisbane-led almalgamation)..is now gone!

The old fella, 93, was the last link to the Roys last flag in 1944...RIP.

Re:What's wrong with Paddle Pop Lion??? Reply to this message
The most current logo was the word 'LIONS'- it has been updated with an image of a head of a Lion.
The traditional Lion on the jumper is remaining - how is this a story? We are adding another image of a Lion to replace the word.

Boring ! With Bradshaw out of teh team the last link to the failed ten year pilot (briefly known as the Bears) is now gone and done with.

The Coleman Line is set - the defence and midfield are bolstered - backburning has clearded out the dead wood - Son of an Old RoyBoy is teh leader of our Club and we are executing THE PLAN!

"According to Greenpeace New Zealand, Goodman Fielder are starting to remove genetically engineered ingredients from the Gaytime to make it more environmentally friendly."

WTF????????????????!!!!!! !

So does that mean they will remove the "genetically engineered ingredients" that make men who eat them like adrian and most crows fans, along with swans and hawks fans walk like mr humphries, talk like boy george, and basically pull queer faces when they eat one.

they should add the ingredient cyanide to them, or only make them available for purchase on the island of nauru or in tasmania.

Golden Gaytime (Cookie Crumble in New Zealand) is an iconic ice-cream created by Nick Marland from Streets confectionery company in Australia. It is a toffee and vanilla ice-cream dipped in chocolate and wrapped in honeycomb biscuits, on a wooden stick.
Golden gaytime box as available in Australian supermarkets.

Its name has survived intact despite the possible h0mo sexual connotations in modern decades.[1] The company appears to play up the camp name with the boxes holding the words "4 chances to have a gay time".[2] The dilemma posed by the name is highlighted in The Bedroom Philosopher song, "Golden Gaytime".

According to Greenpeace New Zealand, Goodman Fielder are starting to remove genetically engineered ingredients from the Gaytime to make it more environmentally friendly.
