YBJ Says,
"im tired of the pies
sniffing around the
8 all the time they
wreck the final series"
I don't know why it worries you YBJ. Carlton played their one and only final this year, which was the first in about a decade, and don't look likely to be getting a sniff of finals again for a while. |

Im totally confused here. So the object of the AFL season is to play all the easybeat teams to make the finals, then get beaten anyway??????
If Malthouse had any confidence as a coach and belief in his group, he wouldn't scoff at the draw, rather rub his hands with glee as a challenge to present to his players, and model their pre-season around those encounters. Train your players in ways to compete and combat against those teams who are the benchmark and seemingly who they have to beat if they are to lay claim as potential premiership contenders.
Lets pencil Collingwood in as mere making up the numbers again cos of Malthouses pathetic demeanour as usual. Maybe give Eddie a few slaps while we're at it, just for being a toss. |

So he said "daunting". Well yeah it's tuff.
"a bit of a mystery draw" was actually referring to playing the Woofers at Woofer stadium twice in one year.
That was the WORST of his 10 min "rant". |

COLLINGWOOD coach Mick Malthouse has accused the AFL of producing a "mystery draw".
The AFL has often been criticised for giving the Magpies an easier draw to maximise crowd attendances.
But the Magpies have been dealt the draw from hell with the club scheduled to meet grand finalists Geelong and St Kilda, the Western Bulldogs and its bogy side Hawthorn twice.
While Collingwood faces crucial matches next year, the Cats, Saints and Bulldogs face each other only once each.
Malthouse's criticisms come as the AFL officially released its 2010 draw yesterday that sees:
GRAND Finalists Geelong and St Kilda not meet until Round 13.
A HORROR draw for Essendon - it plays Geelong, St Kilda, Western Bulldogs, Collingwood, Carlton and Hawthorn twice. |

MICK Malthouse says Collingwood faces a "daunting" 2010 after the AFL yesterday dealt his club a list of matches that the Magpies coach branded "a bit of a mystery draw".
Collingwood has been scheduled to play five of the 2009 finalists and 2008 premier Hawthorn twice. The Magpies will also have to cover back-to-back short breaks in the early rounds.
Collingwood twice plays 2009 grand finalists Geelong and St Kilda, meets the Western Bulldogs twice inside the first 11 rounds, along with the Dons, Carlton and Hawthorn, its major bogey side. |
