| Chucker, my point was that Howard openly stated that he was looking towards the US health system when he decided Australia needed to move away from Medicare and towards private medical cover. I never said the Aussie system was fantastic, just that it is ludicrous to follow the lead of one of the most inefficient and unfair health systems in the developed world. |

| yeah we should've run with Mark "chopper" lathams free medical for all the elderly , thats what we need our hospitals filled with arthritic 80 yr olds and stopping the young and those able to work being 'fixed-up'. look i appreciate most sports and their countries love for them. I also find this subject a little rude as its appeared after an American has posted on here about how much she enjoys our game. And i really enjoyed my time in the USA , was made very welcome:) And am not sure without them be our allies that a certain country not so far away wouldn't come a knocking en-masse. As for Halloween , our 9 yr old went out with some friends and had a ball- no harm in it really. And as for our"uniqueness"- Know plenty of people that think a big fat roast served at Christmas is great - i wonder where we got that idea??.... | Reminds me of when Howard looked at the shambolic US health system and said "yeah, that's what Australia needs ????? Health system has been a basket case for thirty years Nye. And before you go shooting off at John Howard, consider this point. Since 1989( the year Goss was voted in), the ratio of bureaucrats/admin workers to health workers in the Qld Hospital has tripled. As for the NFL - it doesnt interest me , but I am not going to put down someone who likes it |

| yea ferret and yet your boss Dumbetriou is copying everything he can from the yanks screwed up game, so what does that say about you guys?? where did you copy the draft system from, priority picks for the bottom teams as well as rigging the fixture to help out the more profitable clubs?? and don't get me started on that pathetic attempt by 7 to host Monday night football... Aussies have a great culture as it is, why they want to copy the dumb Yanks who are on their way to hell in a handbasket... well someone needs to explain it to me.... |
