| yarz70, Carr can't be playing that great if he spends so much time in the SANFL? It is funny how Carr and the trainer both laughed at brennan when he got headbutted. It must of been working on brennan for a while and finally got what he wanted...not many players actually wish for a bit of rough play against them, but kudos to Carr for taking it for the team I guess |

| i wouldnt say josh carr's form has been very good this year, but as far as just niggling goes, the guy niggled and copped a cheap headbutt, came back on, niggled more and the game changed. great inspiration, and he played a top game. assisted in many plays that set up goals. he still has something to offer and its good to watch. liberatore, crawford and many others played the same way...tactics and it works. how many niggled Hall in his career? what was the end result? some games it inspired him to win games off his own boot, others it cost him and his team. all a part of the game, but sadly the AFL sets rules to hamper such players these days. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| more aggression - yeah - I love it! The type of aggression that won us 2002 & 2003 flags - tough and nasty - great! Teh real learning for Brennan and teh young bloods at the Lions is that hacks like Carr who can no longer play senior footy can only resort to niggling - teh lesson - laugh at them whilst they are on the way down. Sure, Collingwood's social standing is maginally above that of foyer defecating NRL thugs - but at least they are trying...I'll give you that. What the Pies need is a strong leader. Maxwell hasn't worked out - his game has fallen away, he isn't seen by the footy community as a leader and we consistently look past him for who may be the next Collingwood Captain. Imagine if Didak hadn't have been such a c o c k head in the past - he would have been a great leader and showpiece for Collingwood as Captain - alas he is now just viewed as a talented social retard - Collingwood's Michael Jackson. |

| mighty - I think you are a little blinded by the fact that brennan is teh Destroyer of Magpies. I wasn't going to weigh into the head butt or the hit on Rich - but after seeing your fears for teh saftey of our children so vehmently voiced I couldn't resist. What about a culture that drink drives,crashes, flees and lies? Plus a culture where players associate in strip bars with drug dealing killers - firing off hand guns into the night? These collingwood incidents not only influence children - but they are a threat to our lives. Brennan was tormented to teh point where he snapped - not good enough - otherwise an exemplary record...Collingwood - a national disgrace. |

During play a player has a split second to decide how he is going to spoil,mark,bump etc, Brennan could have chosen anyone of a dozen other options - he went for the soft option, simple. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| but most incidents are brain snaps...even chaplins bump on Rich was a brain snap, as there was no way he was going to make a contest, so he jump early to make contact with a smaller player...his bump could do way more damage then a little headbutt, and I consider those a dog act as they attempt to disguise them as "in the play". So how do you term a brain snap? End of the day, I am sure brennan will learn his lesson and the tribual will have served its purpose |

| gts right, Halls suspension was reduced due to the early guilty plea. Nothing to do with his "good record" because it has to be 5yrs of nothing, and I don't think he had been good for 5yrs. | He got away with it big time. Headbutting is disgraceful, doing it a mile from the ball is worthy of a month on the pine. Brennan had a brain fart, he deserved a lot longer than a week, even with a clean record. Dog act if ever I saw one! |
