If HALL leaves the SWANS he would be the white knight for DOGGIES all they lack is a FF and this free up BJ to play up the ground and off the bench for and perhaps extend his playing days

Maybe flower assembling ;P he could go down to the hawks for that.

would be a win for both he gets the experience of flower assemblies and the hawks get some one who can actually be physical

could get him maybe in pre season draft but doggies may swap a 4th round, either way bazza publicly stating it is almost unheard of so he looks like he's chasing success elsewhere

yes browns ya right its now or neverfor the Dawgs.

i remember when North got Phil Carman after he head butted the umpire - everyone said he was gone , well he kicked 40 odd goals for North in his one season North offered him another yr he said he wanted a 2 yr deal, and walked when North wouldn't budge. I would Take Hall for nothing if I thought he'd help clinch a flag .

Re:BBB sees no future at downhill swans Reply to this message
obvious u don't get to watch much footy in your ivory tower ryan

I think anyone could see that Barry has lost control of his temper which he has done quite well to hold.

I think he is still in denial about it hence the reason why he still wants to play AFL.

I think he would be liability for any club .. just comes down to if a club believes it has the facilities to help BBB and his anger management. not saying the swans aren't able to do it but maybe BBB needs the fresh start or at his age wake up and realise that he has come to that point in his life and career that he is at the cross roads and maybe change direction.

Maybe flower assembling ;P he could go down to the hawks for that.

would be a win for both he gets the experience of flower assemblies and the hawks get some one who can actually be physical

Be another Corrie case.
BBB would be traded for some token 4th round draft pick choice so Swans feel like they are getting something back.

Re:BBB sees no future at downhill swans Reply to this message
he's pretty fit isn't he? hasn't had alot of injuries -IF as i suspect the Dawgs for example get close to a flag in 09- maybe just maybe BBB could get 'em across that line in 2010?- also i'm not sure the Swans game style has really helped Hall? A more direct quick moving highly skilled side like the dogs could feed Hall all day.-maybe?

His first opponent in boxing could be Molly Meldrum as he loves being punched in the ring.

Re:BBB sees no future at downhill swans Reply to this message
doubt any side would pick up Barry next year, if he leaves the Swans he should just start his boxing career - he could use Brownose as the punching bag

Just as easy to post this instead of a link skidmark.

------------------------- ------------------------- ---

BARRY Hall is contemplating leaving the Swans immediately, but wants to continue playing AFL football next year.

Hall was banned for two games for striking Adelaides Ben Rutten last weekend, adding to a long list of suspensions.

Writing in his regular column in Fairfax newspapers, Hall said he seriously considered retiring in the aftermath of the incident.

But after talking to teammate Leo Barry and his family, he came to the conclusion that he didnt want his career to end on that note.

While the Swans hard man is adamant he doesnt want to retire, he says this could be the right time for him to leave Sydney.

The easy thing to do would be to walk away and take up boxing. But what would I be? Barry Hall the boxer, but also Barry Hall the disgraced ex-footballer. The perception of me might not change drastically between now and when I do finish up, but I want to go out with some good games under my belt and prove my worth as a footy player, he wrote.

The 2005 premiership player said he felt he still had plenty to offer, but maybe by walking away from the Swans now, it would freshen him up for next season.

I've said I don't want to retire because I feel I still have some good footy left in me. I honestly believe that and my plan at this stage is to be an AFL player in 2010, Hall wrote.

Swans coach Paul Roos will speak at a press conference later today.
