| the game has been a sell out for weeks and how many people are now creating new ideas just to continually post the same carp over and over and over. QLD & NSW get a raw deal regarding AFL, while Vic gets a raw deal regarding the NRL - its the way things are and will be for a long time yet. |

| Channel 7 have done it again - no respect for interstate viewers - match of the year this Sunday Geelong v St Kilda and when do they televise it 12 midnight - how can the AFL sit by and let this happen - I thought that they wanted to grow the game interstate - introducing team on the Gold Coast and then they let the station that has the rights to televise the games do what they like - very often on a Sunday if Channel 7 have other sporting commitments interstate viewers get highlights from the 1st and 2nd quarters then the rest of the game - why can't they reschedule and show the game in full - do they really have to show a lifestyle program at 5pm - couldn't they encourage and support AFL interstate and give the die hard supporters what they deserve not what they think is fair - all one can hope for is that when the license for TV rights is up for review that the AFL set some very strict guidelines with regards to giving supporters and champions of the game interstate something to glow about. When Channel 9 had the rights with Channel 10 - scheduling of games was dispicable - when it was announced that 7 & 10 would share the rights everyone cheered believing that Channel 7 would give the viewers what they want instead they don't care about the viewers - just leaves a bad taste in your mouth - come on channel 7 review your decision and televise the game for all to see - no doubt it will be a sell out - show some compassion. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| this was in the Age today, talking about the tv coverage of the AFL and what are the +s & -s of each network. This is what they had to say about 7: *SEVEN: Ticks Given its first telecast of a pre-season match in 2007 was literally unwatchable, due to some unsteady cameras at an unfamiliar location, and it took more than a year to remove the commentary box's revolving door, Seven deserves credit for eventually building an outstanding Friday night package. Dennis Cometti has found top form again after taking some time to adapt to his new straight man, Bruce McAvaney, and Nathan Buckley and Leigh Matthews are the best one-two punch expert commentators to have shared an AFL microphone. Crosses The late bounce on the Friday night coverage (8.40pm), compounded by Seven's insistence on showing both replays and commercials that push the finish time well beyond 11pm, remains a big source of irritation for viewers. A similar delay on Sunday, not of Seven's making, can make Seven's Sunday afternoon production seem flat. But that is partly due to the low-key nature of some of the games.* --- Seems that Sunday arvo isn't all 7's fault and that the AFL has to take some responsibility also. Be interesting to see what the agreement actually is. |

| Adelaide viewers would be by far the luckiest when it comes to free to air tv.. All away crows and port games are live on tv All showdowns are live..or at least 90% of them A Saturday arvo game live A Sat nite game live A Sunday game live (not the twilight game) all on free to air. |

| friday night shown live on main event on foxtel. saints game this week on main event live in qld and nsw. vic fans have it good. but i really like foxtel, i get all games cause they show them all on fox 1 or main event. the only issue i have is we have to endure the channel 7 commentary team. other than that is is great. |

| 7 football is a disgrace. The AFL had to move the game to 3:10 to make it live for god sake. Just farking show it at 2:00 every week channell 7 pisses me off with their 20 ad long ad breaks. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
