| Did Jade say he doesn't WANT the gig, or that he doesn't EXPECT it? I was under the impression that he wanted to be a full time coach at AFL level, but that he felt the Tigers had other people in mind for the jon in 2010. |

| Ammmat i meant i hope richmond dont rush into things and get bucks and pay him $800,000.Cos i know that will come back to bite us. Bucks has already done a backflip.He said a while ago that he would get rid of every player over 30 including richo and cuz. Now he says the only ones he would keep are cuz and richo. Dont need bucks there. Oh and nye i would rather keep rawlings there than go for an untried coach.But rawlings has stated he dont want a senior f/t coaching gig. | hahahaa....when in doubt....hope sheedy comes to the fold...lol as much as sheedy was a great coach, he is in the same vein as many others who have retired...the game has changed...williams was a prodigy of sheeds, and already many at port feel williams is outdated...still a great coach, but there comes a time when u only have so many tricks in the bag. sheedy became predictable..much like wallace's game plan...as with williams game plan. once other coaches work you out, things get tough. look at hawthorn...teams worked out their style and game plan...it helps if u also have the players on the park...geelong has a team where they had so many players striving to get in the team. when a player goes out injured, someone comes in who fills the void, and then they find it hard to drop them to make way. thommo has a damn hard job as a coach, but their are cracks starting to appear. they are the benchmark. hawthorn however, players get injured, and they dont have the back up. st kilda does, and amazingly brisbane and essendon seem to have players to come in that step up...the bulldogs are predicttable but around the mark. port dont have the depth. the crows do. the swans dont, neither do kangaroos or west coast...collingwood have recruited and groomed well..as for the rest...help! we need sheedy...have a look at essendon since he left...have improved in leaps and bounds, much like brisbane. matthews became predictable and didnt get the best out of a young group...much like sheedy..much like williams. the younger retired players is the way of the future...yep...lets bring back pagan, parkin, thomas, matthews, sheedy, daniher, cahill, cornes, balme to the fray...an the AFL will be such an exciting game. | OK this should excite some people, Sheedy has just come out and says he want to coach at senior AFL level next year. Didnt mention clubs, but there's really only 2 gigs going at this stage. |
