brownoz, do you want to put your kid on here instead because there is no way they could be as stupid as you are. You really are an idiot if you can't read & comprehend what has been posted.
the article you are quoting from is from the 22/01/08, where the incident occurred on the 16/01/08. Considering what was involved and that it was over the summer it was going to take longer then a couple of days for his punishment. He hadn't even fronted court at the time of the article you posted. And this is a quote from the article you jut game a link to -
*The Cats' player leadership group met as many as three times in the past few days as it pondered how to address Johnson's speeding penalty.
While the speeding charge is Johnson's second offence, the players viewed his alcohol-fuelled behaviour and reluctance to inform the club of a police charge in late 2005 as a more serious breach.
The players handed their recommendation to Cook, who approved the penalty and alerted the Geelong board.
Johnson faced the Geelong football department yesterday and was told he was on his last chance after being barred from senior football by the club early last year.* |

From this article - http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,21985,232 43174-2862,00.html
The Norm Smith medallist had faced "intense" discussions with members of the club's leadership group, who had ordered him to undertake 50 hours of community work.
-----
Considering that the 50hr community service is to be served over 2yrs, working with the TAC and victims of road trauma I would say the punishment was more fitting for the crime then a club imposed sanction which banned him from games. So cut the cr@t that Geelong let him off for free |

GEELONG premiership star Steve Johnson has been booked for speeding at 128km/h in a 50km/h zone.
The forward - who was almost sacked early last season after being arrested for public drunkenness - had his car seized by police. |

| Johnson's punishment was for failing to inform the club he had been arrested during the summer and had to face. It wasn't because he went out drinking and didn't turn up to training - a big difference in the 2 situations. |

More do as I say, not do as my club does, brownoz
Every club has a problem with players and the alcohol.
happens at Hawthorn, I can gladly dig up some headlines and news items for you.
Stop being such an obnoxious **** and take your head out of your ***. |

| I thought McVeigh was too hungover to train, because if he was still drunk at that time of day then it would have been a major issue. |

rob predictably juvenile post
sheedy's poor form has somewhat distracted from the Essendon debacle with mcveigh showing poor leadership again by being to drunk to train, his one week ban a slap on the wrist really but that's another issue |

well wallace true was on his last legs but had survived till sheedy came, the board no doubt had the knife in th back as did the players quite publicly but sheedy the master did it all while stating not interested
then he finally has wallace gone and waits for a typically pathetic performance from richmond to then undermine rawlings, sheedy plays the game better than most and the culture at punt rd abeit knife in the back culture up his alley
SHAME |

Re:sheedy to caoch again (PREVIEW)
yep Sheeds will come back to coaching, make Dennis Pagan, Chris Connolly amd Ken Judge his assistants....
------------------------- ------------------------- ---------
27 years and the messages becomes tired at one club neon, no matter how innovative.
Just on Ken Judge, you ever listened to him on radio? I was impressed, better than most I see and hear on tv or radio. Gives a great insight into the game but obviously could not translate that into his coaching. Next time WC or Freo play a twilight game on Sundays, listen to ABC and you'll hear what I'm talking about. |

Fugg brownose, anyone can change their mind after 12 months away from something. 12 months away from coaching COULD give Sheeds a fresh perspective and bring new ideas.
Theres plenty of assistants who are possibles but you still wont know what they've got until they actually do the top job. I remember Brian Royal being the rage at one time, Gary O'Donnell, and I'm sure there are other names out there too. Fact is, with Sheeds Richmond pretty much knows what they'll get, and obviously Rawlings is being tested no matter what is being said.
Whoever Richmond get I hope they succeed. The comp needs the powerhouse clubs like them, Carlton and Collingwood to keep the crowds up. You want them playing finals, but maybe losing to Adelaide in prelims and GF's. lol |
