| balony Jack has only just turned 18 , he was injured very early on in that game , missed the next couple from memory. | I also love Harlett (power) & beams...those guys are going to be stand out's in coming season as well...I did like ziebiell until the roos v lions game where he showed he has alot of work needed to match it with Rich as a premier rookie midfielder | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| balony Rich is a super player - am just saying in a round about way that Anthony was a steal at pick 43. He was playing very well pre-season then had stress fractures played about 60% of the game and got 28 disposals . Is a beautiful kick (both feet) has great awarness & plenty of time when he gets it in his hands. Also at 189cm is a good size. Had he not missed the first 12 games through injury i think Rich would have a serious challenger for rookie of the year.Nut yes again Rich is a super talent , ya did well gewtting him. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| ammmatt...stats mean nothin. look at K Cornes who gets 30+ touches a game but does nothin with them...Rich does more damage with his disposal then any other rookie and is why he is getting noticed...he is also playing max time ruck roving and not getting cheap kicks on the HF or HB. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Tayte Pears wot a great game ... giving good run out of the backline .. Fev couldn't keep up with him and the blues were unable to curve his influence! Well done on his nomination. Good to get the recognition but there are more important things then best first year player award ... which usually means ya going to go quite for the rest of ya career and not achieve much :P |

| for sure scarp's , but we need a highly skilled ball magnet desperately. Ya right though , but thats what the great midfields have 3 or 4 options if one is being closed down another can step up. Our last years mids of Harris , Harvey , lower , Rawlings , Simpson just wasn't good enough really. | Ammmat,dont wanna burst your bubble or anything,but there are many players who look like they are gonna be stars in there first years and then go downhill.I hope that doesnt happen at north,i truly dont.But when a kid gets allot of recognition,eventually that player gets the best tagger and stuff like that | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| not so sure winning the award matters greatly , but getting your young players recognised is fantastic. I remember after the last draft and all the clubs recruiting was closely examined , North was given a 'C'!! Now we got Zeibell . Wright . Anthony - ibelieve that's 3 guns we've got for the future. I just feel certain clubs with a more 'sexy ' image get looked after more so than others.Sells the game unfortunatley. |

| I'll put my two bobs worth in again, what does Beams have to do? before getting injured his stats were comparable with Rich, first game back from the twos against freo he gets 22 touches, 6 tackles and kicks 2 goals. I vote for Laser! |

| the fact that a Selwood played a match against the Hawks without being struck late , high or in an unduly rough manner is astounding But , maybe that is because they are all soft anyway |
