Re:Barry Hall. Reply to this message
why the hell would you bother? if I were their employer I would take the costs of the phone-calls out of their salary.. I can just imagine the phone conversation..

"Good morning (insert name) Football Club"
"Hi who is this?"
"Jane at reception"
"Hi Jane, are you interested in Barry Hall?"
"Not really.. may I ask who is calling and how I can help you?"
"err, no, no-one, wrong number sorry..."

Re:Barry Hall. Reply to this message
BARRY Hall will almost certainly be pushed into boxing as Sydney and rival AFL clubs prepare to shut the door on the fiery forward next year.

A day after a Sydney coach Paul Roos said he was "sick and tired" of talking about Hall's on-field meltdowns, 11 clubs contacted by the Herald Sun were not keen to snap up the volatile sharp-shooter.

Re:Barry Hall. Reply to this message
Fed up Sydney coach Paul Roos is set to pull the plug on disgraced forward Barry Hall's AFL career, indicating he can no longer control the veteran.

A clearly frustrated Roos was forced to face the media yet again on Monday to explain the 32-year-old's latest on-field brain snap.

The serial offender, who is yet to be charged by the AFL match-review panel, is facing another stint on the sidelines after striking Adelaide defender Ben Rutten in the face during Saturday's loss to the Crows.

"I'm probably getting sick of standing here and talking about it," a deflated Roos told a large media contingent outside Swans headquarters.

"The club is always bigger than the individual - we're all frustrated, we're all disappointed and we all had hoped that it had stopped but clearly it hasn't."

A strong supporter of the troubled star in the past, Roos would not confirm whether the club would take action against him this time around.

But the coach gave his strongest indication yet that he has had enough of Hall's antics, when asked what the remainder of the season holds for the fiery forward.

"Players can always choose to retire, it's happened in the mid season before" added Roos.

Re:Barry Hall. Reply to this message
barry hall gets persecuted for playing footy the way most did in the 70's and 80's. He just has a bad habit of swing his arms which most who box on the side end up doing in footy. Yeah..lets take bazza out of the game, and get the rest to wear farkin pink ballerina dresses...its starting to become a camp game.

Re:Barry Hall. Reply to this message
ummm excuse me. self defence would come into play if hall was striking rutten as rutten was elbowing hall..

hall retaliated...thats the difference....

but keep crying over it...it was more self defence regarding hall v staker incident..

it was a tap, nothing in it. Plus Rutten elbowed him first, self defence I reckon.

Rutten is straight out of Star Trek - a dirty klingon.
How the grub gets away with his rubbish week in week out is beyond me. Barry Hall should have got two weeks for not hitting the dirty **** harder.

Re:Barry Hall. Reply to this message
UPDATE 4:52pm: BARRY Hall has been offered a two-week suspension for striking by the match review panel.

The panel said his punch to Ben Rutten's chin was low impact, saving him a longer stint on the sidelines.

If he were to take it to the tribunal and lose, he would risk being suspended for three matches, but it appears unlikely that Sydney would challenge it.

well they are really letters but you get what i mean.

Just keeps making the wrong decisions, maybe he needs the Cloke treatment, a good beating may bring his aggression back into order.

I vote GT to serve it up as a specialist coach, you can run fast right GT?

Barry Hall. Reply to this message
He will get a minimum of 4 games after being reported for striking Ben Rutten..

He has far too many points and will get 4 if the charge is classed as a medium level offense..

You have rocks in your head Barry.
