yes King rite you are. Yes the drugs apparently make it hard to get hard....... so the chances of the hawks getting some father-son draft picks seem very remote.!!!! hehe!!

keeping it up for 5-7 years , whats the formula ?? ,well to sustain it for that long i'd suggest a healthy balanced diet, not to much beer 'n' wine , plenty of sleep and it helps if the woman ya looking at is really hot.!!!:)

sorry I was going to comment in here when I saw winning streak... I naturally assumed it meant winning consecutive games ...

well it is hard to maintain success for long periods because players age and you need a core group of players in the mid 20's to be successful.

The reason the lions died quickly was not because of "2-3 players leaving", but because matthews put forward to the board that in order to have great success (i.e. 3 peat) they would have to sacrifice the development of younger players... hence once we had retirements we had no depth.

Also, smart trading at the right time is important... lions did well adding Mal Michael and pike to their list, both made brisseie heaps stronger as a group.

For the record

Lynch, hart, ashcroft, the scott brothers, McCrae, Leppa, white all left

And Voss, Michael, AKA, Johnson soon after

More then 2-3 players leaving I would think

I would suggest no, and football socialism (salary cap) was introduced to curtail one team dominance.

However, if you do find the secret, could you please let Paul Gardner and his crew know? Thanks.

Longest possible winning streak??? Reply to this message
Question: How long is it actually possible to stretch a winning streak with a great team, i.e. Brisbane 2001-2003;
Eagles 1992-1994 etc etc..??? I mean, looking at it, Brisbane died pretty quickly once 2 or 3 key players left, ditto Eagles, ditto other teams...so, is it possible to keep it up for 5,6, 7 years or more??? What's the formula?
