<<GT, you'd be suprised with Buddy Franklin. He is second at Hawthorn for endurance, so he could possibly be used in that role too. But no doubt Richo and Goodes are amongst the elite!>>

No I wouldn't be surprised at all nye, fact is I'd like to see that (it may even eventuate) BUT Adam is accustomed to playing roles like that, has much experience up the ground/all over the ground so IMO he would be the natural man to go to Richo.

I have no illusions nor do I underestimate Buddy, the more I see, the more I like.

anyway this is pointless just as "team of the century" or "best player of all time" coz ask a thousand people and you will get a thousand different answers

Re:Best player in the history of clubs Reply to this message
maybe if he was at Freo or the bears

but at a club like seendon there is too many champs above him although being the highest goalkicker in the game STILL playing is an achievement

Re:Best player in the history of clubs Reply to this message
Besides, 'best pick' implies Banfield was the best player in that draft. I'd say pick 3 - Justin Leppitsch was better. Pick 14 - Nick Holland too. Even pick 90 - Scott Burns was a better pick - would you want much better at pick 90 than him?

Re:Best player in the history of clubs Reply to this message
As I've said, Hodge is a much better option for Hawthorn. I think if they had the choice again they'd still take Luke. They wanted a guy who was physical, exceptionally talented and a genuine CLUB man. Judd is talented, not as physical (but quicker), and has shown his hand in terms of clubman.

I wouldn't swap Hodge or Mitchell for Judd, as good as he is.

Re:Best player in the history of clubs Reply to this message
Best pick, not best player ... subtle difference.

Like the Hodge selection ... the biggest blunder, not that he's not good, just .... JUDD.
