It was all a clever ruse to JB to play poorly to allow Bradshaw to play himself back into form. Now , DB is in form, the Lions will roar ......................... ......................... ......................... ......................... .................
if I say it enough times, I will eventually believe it |

Mighty, I think you'll find he did a quick post stating that he missed the game, and then some cr@p in another thread about 9th vs 16th in relation to Collingwood and Richmond.
Nothing to worry about missing believe me. |

The original post to this thread from Fitz
"Brown proves he is the best
A clean 6 goals straight against the 'best full back' in the business.
He kicked them from overhead marks on the lead, diving marks under pressure, roving the contested ball, snap shots...proof that we are witnessing the number one player in the AFL.
Thankyou Browny - thanyou for saving our sport. "
Typical premature speculation from Fitzroy Murphy, who is conspicouos by his absence this week on the boards.
I'm a fan of Jonothon Brown and believe he would be an asset to any club. But this drivel from Murphy after one round of football is just fanciful stuff.
Now that we have seen three rounds it shows Brown had a good game first up with six goals. A very average game against the pies at home with two goals and an abysmal game against the swans.
One goal, six kicks from ten possessions, gave away 5 free kicks and had 6 clangers for the game.
Hey Murph, don't sing the praises for anyone else as it appears you're the kiss of death.
If Brown has put himself on the market he better pull up his socks or he'll drive his price down. |

no worries kaz...next time you should sit in another chair...the one you were in last night must have been obstructed by a bookcase ! LOL!
Nathan will go bac to the 2's next week...Malthouse isn't a Pie tragic sentimentalist...he nows a development need when he sees it.
Shane o'Bree was great last night - it was a real shame we could n't retain his services...he's obviously over the injuries that have hung around for the last 3 years...he was everywhere...I'm a big fan of him.
He's the sort of class that you have to have so as to bring in the fit also-rans. If he misses matches expect the Pies to really take a dive. |

I agree that Brown play a professional game and didn't let the decisions get to him. Has turned a corner the last few years and a Charlie may one day come his way.
You were watching through those Bears glasses Murph, 1 on 1's should be allowed to go on without the whistle all the bloody time. Well done N Brown. |

John Brown proved it last night. He is teh best.
Although he was constantly infringed upon without justice from the ump.
He didn't crack it, he didn't retaliate to the clumsy novice Nathan Brown, he didn't whinge to the ump.
He just kept applying his trade and lead his mates to fix the final score. |

Well he played every game last year and didn't even look like being reported....you really need to keep up with current events Syndrome.
What's more he should be the captain of the side that beat the W C E - I've seen the goals we missed late in the game - Black, Lappin, Charman and a few of teh youngies too - all gimmies...sad that they didnt convert like they would 98% of the time - but oh well - it was really our only game where we've had the whole team together (given the Qland floods) so not a bad first day out - look out Pies !!!
Brown and Brennan - Pie killer specialists ! WOOOOOOOOHHH!!!!!!!!!! Oh yeah! |

Yeah Brown was the difference between the bears being beaten and slaughtered. God help them if he gets injured.
I think he was one of four players to kick six on the weekend.
And how long before he's injured or suspended Murph? |

| Doc, I tried all varieties inc once_was_chucker and etc but no luck, but the current ID started one night when I was taking the p1ss out of Matt on an NRL thread one night, because his statements made an iq of 87 look big ( as most of his statements are actually) |

Fitz,
Brown will struggle to win the Charley .
Firstly it is voted for by umpires, who detest big bullocking forwards physically smashing lesser talented and smaller backmen, and tend to vote for showpony onballers instead eg Crawford, Woewodin and Goodes ( last one for you GT)
Secondly, there will be games this year when Browny will just not get the ball due to double teaming , poor delivery and Brisbane having bad days eg Geelong at Kardinia park AND days when he does little when the Lions midfield runs rampant and kick goals over Brownies head eg vs Demons |
