| In fairness to Blighty - he handed Ayres a GF side - Ayres couldnt take the full credit for that losing GF side. As for the Crows - it was once again a list handed to him - I think it is Gary's personality that limits him. He'll never coach senior footy again...he needs a bigger personality like a senior coach to dilute him...I'm sure he's OK as an assistant coach |

| Knights is the right man to have at the Bombers - for the moment. Now that my frustration has subsided at this over achiever 'earning' a Senior AFL coaches position ahead of worthy men...it is all so clear. Essendon are re-building - under Sheeds they did it many times. They are probably the best re-builders of successful sides ever - under sheeds and pre-draft. Time has come to start from scratch using the draft. A high paid coach would be a waste on this list for the next 2-3 seasons. Knights is the fall-guy. The little bloke is there to keep the big chair filled pending the purchase of the next super coach. Essendon can afford a big name / successful coach - they seriously don't want or need the little bloke that was in the broom closet next to Sheeds. This is just smart business - why spend big bucks or waste the time of a good coach on a list that is still forming. Knights will be the only bloke who cant see this - he has never seen his own short comings. But expect a huge blow up from Matthew when they show him the door...one thing I'll say about the little blonde gnome - he never goes quietly. |

| his game plan of making players handball in circles down the middle corridor is a joke... dont get me wrong it is usefull in patches, but his team doesnt have the skills to do it all game, and it was evident to me today that players are ignoring options by foot to go out of their way to make 10 handballs before looking at go forward and producing attacking pressure. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
