| Tyson Edwards is a legend and Neil Craig has been responsible for the crows doing as well as they did. Better luck next year boys, you did a lot better than was predicted at season start when the so called people in the know had you finishing 9th and power in the 8. |

41 possessions in his 300th. Geez if he gets slower, maybe he'll only get 30 as his high. He'll be 80+ have dementia and still be faster than you ever were brownose.
Needing to deflect from your clubs failure brownose you're trolling everywhere else to try and hide. Hope your courage to face up to things isn't a trait from your parents. |

have the crows fallen asleep or what...
what is going on?
after such a great start, thus far in the third quarter,
they've not scored.
the hawks are playing so pathetic today they have failed to get back into the game. |

| not today they don't. Crows are cruising against the pathetic Hawks. I'd say Craigy and Reid's jobs are safe at least for the end of the season. So let's freeze this thread for now. |

| craig was appointed because he was going to build a team hes used the same players for the last 4 years just so he could have a good win loss % Most of the players hes brought in are average and he still relies on the old boys he dont have much idea hes a good assistant coach but poor as a head coach |

| In 2005 we would have beaten St Kilda with Riccuito on board. His suspension cost us being on the same side of the draw with our bunnies Sydney. we still would have had to face West Coast in the GF and they had our measure. A younger quicker midfield in Judd Kerr and Cousins was always going to outdo McLeod, Edwards and Goodwin. The Crows went as far as they could in those years (still with no forward as good as even Lynch upfront for WC) because of the players they had. |

What i couldn't believe was at 3/4 time v lions ben hart was interviewed as he was coming off the ground and he told the interviewer "our aim is just to win the last quarter"
????????????? WTF. No doubt he would have got that from that insipid coach craig..
So, we have totally given in by that statement..
We were so ripe in 05 and 06 but he totally farked that up by bewildering coaching in finals...
get rid of him as the excuses have long fell on deaf ears. |

... had to take it's toll somewhere along the line.
So this is where the Crows are at. In spite of the club saying the final 8 this year is the first goal and they will always have high expectations reality needs to set in amongst some supporters and they need to know that the 8 looks out of reach this year and we can build next year towards what should be something in 2011/12.
Can people wait that long after the wastage of the Shaw years, 5 years of almost but not quite by Ayres who gave us no future but relied on Roo, Macca, Goody and Edwards. And Craig who took his best shot with an ageing Roo, Macca etc but fell to eventual champs and runners up the Eagles. And when he got past that decided only a new generation would get the Crows there again.
I think we just have to wait. Anyone who beleives there is a second coming or a new messiah is just plain deluded imo. |

I think the clubs are working in the right direction without bottoming out for draft choices. Mind you they have failed with their first picks with Meesen, Angwin and Gilligan being the worst in my memory at this point. There maybe others and I'm sure someone will point them out.
Anyway I look from line to line starting witht he ruck and see Maric 23/34 (age/games), Griffin 23/30, Moran 22/12 (ok I was harsh with him calling him the AFL's worst player, anger gets you sometimes) and Tippett 22/27. The middle consists of Edwards 32/297, Thompson 26/139,Reilly 25/101, Van Berlo 23/84, Symes 24/40, Vince 23/39, Knights 22/54,Douglas 22/46, Mackay 21/27. The backs Rutten 26/110, Johncok 26/154, Otten 20/10 , McLeod 32/312, Bock 26/91, Goodwin 32/246. Forwards, Petrenko 19/8, Walker 19/8, Stevens 27/108, Tippett 22/27, Porplyzia 24/52, Dangerfield 19/10.
Dangerfield, Walker, Otten and Petrenko are practically first year players, Mackay, Tippett and Moran are second year players whilst Griffin, Maric, Douglas, Vince and Symes havent 50 games under their belts and Porplyzia and Knights have just over 50.
This is a developing side and young fellas make mistakes more often and dont have the mental or physical motor of their more experienced counterparts. People can point to other sides with players that are young like Jack Ziebell at North but how many Jack Ziebells are there running around?
I was a strident critic of Neil Craig when he first got the job and I said here he would not take the Crows to a flag. But I'm going to have faith in him and the players now because I can see rewards long term if they keep at it and the improvement continues which in most cases it has.
When you are so used to having your side play well or win most weeks the losing and lack of good play gets to you if you look for instant gratification and not the long term. You cant win always and losing the experience the Crows have over the last 3 years so they can build for the future |

what do you expect the crows to achieve this year. The list isnt that strong.
we havent had a target forward since Modra. Taylor Walker is still young, as is alot of the devloping list.
I think the crows could learn alot from the bombers. They will lose their fair share of games, but atleast they are playing exciting football.
Im getting pretty tired of this stagnent defensive style of play.
We are struggling to kick 100+ points a match. |

| wake up adrian....its 2008 not 1966 , the game has changed , its evolving , as it should . we lost round 1 and if we played all out attack we would lose just about every week. look at essendon and carlton , all attack very little defense , did they make the finals? geelong ...great defense all over the ground , hawthorn the same , sydney won a premership with all out defense and very little attack. if your not happy with the way footy is being played these days then maybe you should find a different sport to follow. |

well you 3 keep supporting his negative game plan
if he was to tell the guys "go full steam ahead and take risks" then i would be happier.
win, lose or draw like we did in rd 1 against the dogs
that was a cracker and was just happy to see a positive game even tho we just fell short.
but then just about every game from then on was far less positive and we lost many of those by being too defensive
if we lose lets lose with all guns blazing. |
