I'm talking about the season freedirt .... remember ?
remember the podiectomy?...your on shaky ground and you know it...Bernie has even been described by one certain ex crows captain as Adelaide's find of the season. (the only sensible thing he`s said since getting his sorry ass booted out). |

| I say it as I see it, oddie, the good and the bad...don't feel the need to sugar coat everything about the Crows the way you do. There's nothing wrong with saying someone had an ordinary game if he had an ordinary game, just as I'll say someone had a good game if he had a good game. |

ya just cant say it without some negative side dish can ya freedirt. whatever the problems down at west lakes it certainly wasn`t Bernie`s fault. his "ordinary games" were still better than most of his mates , and lets not forget he is still just a kid and not yet in the leadership group. we are after all only trying to establish hes not a "dud" , not , a brownlow winner in waiting .
Come on you can say it , its not that hard. |

| Yep, he was quite good on Saturday after several ordinary games (along with the rest of the side). Has certainly taken some positive steps. |

| hey there freedirt......i see Bernie has made the best player list again ...this time against a tough tight Sydney side in a winning team at the SCG. He even got a special mention from the coach , and i recon he was pretty close to BOG up to half time. he seems to be running out the season quite well don't you think? |

| yes fella....this is what I've been trying to tell Adrian and smokin , this is why Craig is playing all the youngsters in the midfield instead of the old hardened guys at the expense of winning games , he said he would do this and to his credit hes stuck to it and it will benefit the team in the long run . Craig inherited a team that age and development wise was ready to have a shot at a prem. , and he damn well nearly pulled it off , three years down the track and the team is getting old , time to rebuild , this is why i say we've got to wait a couple more years before we can start to have a genuine crack at it again . but because Craig wants the team to remain competitive and play finals through these years some supporters tend to develop unrealistic expectations . when your team drops to near the bottom you don't tend to expect the wins to come , but realistically this is where the crows are at in terms of development , i believe its a credit to the team that they have as many wins and competitive losses as they have at this stage of their developments. Adrian and like minded supporters need to sit back a bit and show some patience and give support to their club during these tough times , this is the recession that we had to have. the good years will return. |

You know oddie, I played B grade footy most of my footy life with a few A Grade games chucked in over about 15 years. What I noticed when I first started playing out of half back was I could easily run games out. Then I moved between half back a wing and a little as a ruck rover. Then primarily I played as a wingman and found mostly I was running games out, but by about midseason I was pretty tired. I was pretty fit having done a full preseason plus some of my own running but the extra running in a game from half back to a wing did me in. Moving into the middle in about my 3rd year as a ruck rover and some time still as a wingman I got to midseason again and the rest of the year was a grind. It wasn't until my 4th year that I really got through the full season and the coach said that that was what was expected because you have to get the miles into your legs in real games and not just training to survive and thrive as a midfielder for a whole year and it takes a few years to do that.
What does this all mean? Well lets take a look at the Crows. How many of the Crows midfielders have done the same thing? Vince, Porplyzia, Douglas, Van Berlo, Knights. Add ruckmen Maric and Griffin and you can see why the Crows second half (besides the harder draw) of the season ahs been flat. I expect next year with more game miles in the legs of these younger blokes that they'll be match hardened and will run out the season longer. It is very disappointing to have lost 5 in a row and probably that'll extend to 6 with Sydney away next week but the experience will make them all the better. Just for good measure you can chuck Kurt Tippett in that mob above too.
I see much promise and good development happening and earlier in the year I wrote the Crows would tire as the year went on and they would be lucky to finish in the 8 and they seem to be going that way. |

| like i keep saying Adrian they just are not ready yet , your expectations are too high for where they are at.Please stop your f u c k ing whinging its getting rather tiresome. your reasoning is non existent ,and your complaining is so repetitive , obviously Adrian you have no plan B . anyone know where we can find some new supporters , some of these old ones are a bit mediocre and one dimensional , i cant see how we can ever win a premiership while they are around the stands. |

| just touching base freedirt.... young Bernie seems to be holding his own at the moment , he`s forged a regular spot in the side (no running around in the sanfl so far) and some regular appearances in the best player list , seems to have landed on his feet . another showdown this week , interesting to see how he goes this time after his BOG last time around . lets just hope one of your gorillas don't clean him up and screw up his season . no doubt someones gonna cop it i wonder who this time. |

Unfortunately Jericho is the obvious choice to make way when Burton returns, not sure who else they could drop.
I did say Douglas had been a bit disappointing, but certainly felt he was entitled to some more time. He's been a mixed bag this year but his better games have shown some good signs. |

| lukes last two games have been very good. i just hope he is given the chance to play a number of consecutive games for a change, to show that he can play (and he can). sorry if i misunderstood your views on douglas but you did say he`s been disappointing implying (i thought) that you thought he wasn`t going to cut it. |

| went to the game on sunday,,and young bernie had a great game... he is becoming a better football player every time he steps on the feild.. although burton had a great game on sunday,i thought that young burnie was best on ground.. 29 possesions ,5 marks and a goal aint a bad days work especailly for a young player making his mark on the game...with a young brigade like Vince,Knights,Porplyzia,v an berlo and the NAB rising star for this week,Tippett(finally a rising star vote for a crow!!!) Adelaide football club has a bright long term future with these lads!! lets hope we can keep them! |
