1999 Hawthorn 9 Port Adelaide 7
2000 Essendon 1 Kangaroos 4
2001 Port Adelaide 3 Brisbane 1
2002 Port Adelaide 4 Richmond 14
2003 Adelaide 5 Collingwood 2
2004 St Kilda 3 Geelong 4
2005 Carlton 16 West Coast 2
2006 Geelong 10 Adelaide 3
2007 Carlton 16 Brisbane 10
This is ladder positions after grand final. You could really discount Carltons efforts in 05/07 and you would have only 3 outside of the 8. Works for some and doesn't work for others. |

and how many eventual winners finished in the bottom half.
also, how many under the current knock out system how many have done well in the season proper - some of those in the past eleven years would be under the old format where teams got to play a min. 2 games |

15 of 22 NAb cup finalists in the last 11 years also played finals with 3 premiers (Essendon, Brisbane Nth Melb) and there were a couple of runners up there too. So the NAB cup might tell us a little more than we say it will.
Just good to see the young blokes get a decent go and there is passion in the way they play. Good to see an attacking style too. |

| well done crows.. another chance for a premiership(even if it is only the mickey mouse cup)...although it is only early days...it been good to see the young guns starting to step up and with the mix of experience..it may not be as big a rebuilding process i was expecting..im also enjoying the more open style we have seemed to have adopted.lets hope we can keep playing that style of footy!! GO THE CROWS !!! |
