| I know there are a thousand things that influence the result of a game, but... What the hell was Thompson thinking at the end??? All the Crows had to do was manage a couple more short passes in the backlines and they'd have won despite all their skill errors and poor decisions. Why would he even be trying to kick long to a contest when there was obviously very little time left? I've been an advocate of Brett Burton's but my patience is wearing thin! He's been useless all season and again on Saturday. What was that, running down the wing near the end of the game, under no pressure, and kicks straight to a Hawthorn player 30 metres on his own at CHB?! How could Craig keep Massie on Franklin all day? Completely unsuitable match up to begin with, but to persist with it and even say after the match it was the best match up - he undoes his good points by making these kind of stubborn, crazy calls. How could the Crows not be clogging up Franklin's space in the closing stages?? Whew...anyway, considering all that, they didn't deserve to win and 8th is probably where they belong. |
